Posting a few days late but how is May already flying by? 🤷♀️ Here are some of my April health deposits.
At Powerhouse, our philosophy is that it’s the little consistent things that really move the needle, not the big health hacks. Which is honestly why I love reflecting on the month before. It’s so encouraging to look back and realize all the small things you’ve been doing to truly care for your body and see that you’re moving in the right direction.
So here are some of my April favorites:
Red light shower nights: My therapist recommended this one and it’s become one of my favorite parts of the day. Instead of going fully dark with a candle, I use my red light, low stimulus, quiet, warm. It sets such a different tone for winding down and it’s something I genuinely look forward to every night.
Morning & evening journaling on the patio: April weather in Arizona has been chefs kiss so I’ve been taking full advantage. As someone with a bajillion thoughts constantly running, slowing down to actually reflect on them, drawing my attention back to what came up throughout the day and doing the real work with those thoughts, has been such a gift.
Divi Hair Vitamins + Organ Supplements: Not historically a supplement person at all, but I’ve been taking Divi for about three months now. I followed Dani Austin for years and the science behind it is what actually convinced me. Also, random but true, when I first moved to Arizona I used to eat raw beef liver 😂 Now I’m obsessed with Heart & Soil because you get all those same incredible nutrients (especially for reproductive health) without the gamey taste.
Creating again: I realized I hadn’t really let myself dream, create, or use that part of my brain in a while. So I’ve been making more space for that.
