☀️ June 21st — the Summer Solstice. The longest day of the year. The peak of Yang energy.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is one of the most significant days in the health calendar. Summer is the season of the Heart and the Fire element. It's the time when outward, expansive energy is at its maximum — and when the Heart is most active, most accessible, and most vulnerable.
When summer Fire is balanced:
🔥 You feel joyful, warm, and connected
🔥 Your mind is sharp and communication flows easily
🔥 You're comfortable in the heat and sleeping well
When summer Fire is in excess (common in Phoenix):
⚠️ Anxiety, restlessness, heart palpitations
⚠️ Insomnia or waking between 11pm–1am
⚠️ Irritability, overheating, excessive sweating
⚠️ Bitter taste in the mouth, red face
The solstice is the perfect moment to recalibrate. A seasonal acupuncture treatment right around June 21st aligns the body with the transition — clearing excess Fire, nourishing Heart Yin, and setting you up to thrive through the heat.
Summer is a season, not a battle. Let's help you enjoy it. 🌿
