💬 October is AAC Awareness Month!
Communication comes in many forms and every person deserves to be heard, understood, and included. 💚
AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It includes tools and methods such as gestures, picture boards, and speech-generating devices that support or offer alternatives to spoken communication.
At Ridge Zeller Therapy, we support and celebrate all the ways people express their thoughts, share their needs, and connect with others.

What a great way to support a child during a stressful situation. 👏❤️

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, AZDPS Detective Cody Carpenter observed a single‑vehicle crash on northbound I‑17 near Daisy Mountain Drive. After the occupants were safely off the road and being evaluated by firefighters, he brought Daisy, the Department’s crisis response canine, to meet a little girl involved in the crash.

Daisy’s gentle presence helped comfort and distract her during the medical evaluation. Once she was medically cleared, the girl spent time with Daisy in the patrol vehicle, where Daisy provided compression therapy and eventually fell asleep in her lap. 🐾

Daisy continues to show how crisis response canines provide meaningful support during unexpected and stressful events.
