2 spots left!

Growing Seeds of Attachment is an experiential 4-day training examining the body’s earliest and most innate capacity for movement which creates the foundation for the relational cycle of movement: yield, push, reach, grasp, pull.

Co-taught by Rachel Lewis-Marlow and Bob Lehnberg (BMC® Practitioner), this training is designed for clinicians ready to work at a pre-verbal, developmental level.

Participants explore how cellular tone and primitive reflexes establish the foundation for complex volitional movements that support completing Action Cycle stages for nourishing ourselves with food and relationships.

Might it have begun before birth? Before language?

Growing Seeds of Attachment: an Exploration of Somatic Tone and Primitive Reflexes is an experiential 4-day training examining the body’s earliest and most innate capacity for movement which creates the foundation for the relational cycle of movement: yield, push, reach, grasp, pull.

The relational language of movement is built on our somatic tone and primitive reflexes.

These movement patterns develop before and shortly after birth.

Participants explore how cellular tone and primitive reflexes establish the foundation for complex volitional movements that support completing the developmental tasks of embodiment, meeting needs, expressing wants, experiencing intimacy and belonging.

Integrating these building blocks of movement facilitates coordination of our everyday actions and activities and supports nourishing relationships between ourselves, each other and the world in which we live.

Co-taught by Rachel Lewis-Marlow and Bob Lehnberg (BMC® Practitioner), this training is designed for clinicians ready to work at a pre-verbal, developmental level.

Primitive reflexes and cellular tone form the earliest architecture for how we relate—to our bodies, to caregivers, and to the world. When these foundational patterns are unintegrated, they can disrupt regulation, interoception, and capacity to eat.

In our Tier 2 training, Growing Seeds of Attachment: An Exploration of Somatic Tone and Primitive Reflexes, you’ll learn how to:

âś” Define, demonstrate, and facilitate key cellular patterns & primitive reflexes
âś” Identify somatic indicators of unintegrated reflexes inhibiting recovery
âś” Provide psycho-physical education to clients & teams
âś” Integrate reflex-based work into interdisciplinary treatment

Across four days, we explore reflexes such as:
• Tonic Labyrinthine
• Moro
• Landau
• Babkin
• Traction
• Oral Rooting
…and more.

This training is ideal for mental health clinicians, dietitians, OTs, nurses, psychiatrists, medical providers, yoga therapists, and all members of multidisciplinary ED treatment teams.

Prerequisite: Moving Through Barriers to Embodiment or Clinical Applications of ERED: Moving Through Barriers to Embodiment.

A strongly experiential training—expect movement, floor work, and touch-based exploration. Participate at your comfort level.

Two spots remaining!

Growing Seeds of Attachment: An Exploration of Somatic Tone and Primitive Reflexes is a 4-day, in-person training designed for practitioners who want to deepen their work through a more embodied, relational lens.

Refine your therapeutic presence
Expand your capacity for co-regulation
Strengthen your assessment skills and therapeutic interventions

This training offers space to engage directly with the body’s innate intelligence for movement and relationship, bringing these principles into your clinical and relational work.

The course is co-taught by Rachel Lewis-Marlow and Bob Lehnberg, a certified Practitioner of Body-Mind Centering®, and will be held in Chapel Hill.

If you’re already trained in somatic, trauma-informed, or attachment-based work and eating disorder symptoms keep showing up in your office, our trainings gives you the missing bridge (without you needing to become an eating disorder specialist).

Through experiential learning, didactic processes, and somatic mapping, we’ll explore the layers that shape the embodiment of our attachment, defense and digestive systems, and how to work with them in an integrated and coherent way.

Our tier 1 and tier 2 trainings offer experiential dives into:
• Protective attachment adaptations
• Behavioral change supported by increased embodiment
• Facilitating relationally attuned, somatically integrative work

Our trainings explores why these protective eating and body adaptations exist, and how to support clients to transform them through bottom-up resourcing.

Through participatory embodiment work, participants learn how to:

• Recognize survival-driven patterns in clients
• Support regulation and actions of eating
• Build the relational container for deeper embodiment
• Work skillfully with resistance, shutdown, and overwhelm

If you’re ready to learn somatic maps and models for working with eating disorders, step into deeper personal embodiment work that enhances effective clinical presence, and join a supportive, relational learning environment in which to explore the edges of your comfort zone, our Tier 1 and Tier 2 trainings could be for you!
