🐄🎡🃏 It’s been a busy couple of weeks in Memory Care! 🃏🎡🐄
We’ve been making the most of every day with lots of fun, laughter, and special memories! From enjoying Fair Week and spending time with some adorable farm animals 🐮🐷, to celebrating and congratulating our Memory Care King & Queen, Suzy & Rodney! 👑❤️
We also enjoyed a delicious supper outside while getting ready for the Cy-Hawk game 🏈, and wrapped up our days with some friendly competition playing UNO! 🃏😄
So many wonderful moments, so many smiles, and so many memories made together! We’re grateful for all the fun we get to share with our residents. ❤️✨

We’ve been keeping busy and having so much fun together! From homemade snacks, noodle ball, and ladder ball to photo shoots for our lovely ladies, dunk tanks, and face painting, there have been plenty of smiles to go around!

But the best part of it all? The laughter, friendships, and quality time spent together. 🥰 These are the moments that make our Memory Care community so special, and we love seeing our residents enjoying each day together! 💕

We're bringing the community together for an afternoon of fun while connecting seniors and their families with local organizations that provide valuable services right here in Chariton!

We love a good snack, and we love them even more when our residents get to help make them! From mixing ingredients to adding the finishing touches (and, of course, taste-testing 😉), snack time is always full of smiles, laughter, and a little bit of fun.

Last week in Memory Care, we stayed busy with lots of fun activities! We played charades, tested our senses with "What's in the Box?", worked on paint-by-number projects, and spent plenty of time chatting and sharing laughs. 😊

This weekend, our activity girls, Grace and GraceAnn, took Ken and David to Lake Ahquabi for a day of fishing! 🎣☀️
We had an amazing time, and the fish were definitely biting! There was plenty of excitement, laughter, and great memories throughout the day, and we were so happy to have Ken's son, David's brother, and David's sister-in-law join us!
Nothing is better than seeing the smiles on our residents' faces and watching them enjoy time with their loved ones!

Last year, we created the Homestead of Chariton Cookbook, featuring favorite recipes submitted by our residents, family members, and staff. The cookbook was such a special project, filled with cherished recipes, memories, and traditions from our Homestead family!
Now, we're beginning a new journey—our goal is to make every recipe in the cookbook and serve it during meal times so everyone can enjoy these beloved dishes together.
With this in mind, we thought it would be the perfect time to offer cookbooks for sale again!

Friday, we had the handsome Thor come visit us! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, outgoing, high-energy companion, Thor is your dog! He is such a sweet boy, ready to give someone all his love.
Thor is an almost 3-year-old mixed black Lab/Retriever who absolutely loves to play! Whether it’s chasing toys, running around outside, or just being part of the fun, Thor is always ready for an adventure and keeps everyone smiling with his goofy, happy personality. He’s also house-trained, making him an even easier addition to the right home. He would make the absolute best companion for the right person or family.
