Tomorrow's the day when an adventurous group of lawyers will be gathering together on Pocahontas County, West Virginia to explore what it means for each of us to find our path to becoming a Restorative Lawyer. I can't imagine a better location that then Elk River Inn or a better assistant than Taylor Graham!

I'll be leading the upcoming Certified Mediator Training Workshop this August and September in West Virginia.

This hybrid program includes both virtual and in-person sessions and is the only course currently offered in West Virginia that qualifies mediators to conduct family mediation.

• Tuition increases to $1,500 after July 1

We are less than a week away from Rooted Practice: A Path to Becoming a Restorative Lawyer. We'll gather in a very quiet and beautiful part of West Virginia to explore what it means to be a lawyer--and what it means to be a restorative lawyer. We will have very few PowerPoint presentations, and here's a slide share from one of the program's earliest moments.

We just had our first online session for my upcoming workshop: Rooted Practice: A Path to Becoming a Restorative Lawyer. I could not be more excited about this gathering of lawyers in remote Pocahontas County, West Virginia, next week. I'm sure I'm going to want to draft a second edition of Becoming a Restorative Lawyer after I've gained the wisdom from this crowd! (This photo is from a nearby hike!)

I'm excited to be returning to Canada—virtually—for an International Symposium this week.

On June 24, I'll join a distinguished panel for a discussion on Transforming Legal Practices with Restorative and Reflective Approaches.

If you've read my book, you may recall that one of the Rules of Engagement encourages lawyers to adopt reflective practices in their work. That principle has profoundly influenced my professional journey and ultimately led me to restorative justice and the restorative practice of law.

I look forward to exploring how reflective and restorative approaches can help transform legal practice, strengthen professional relationships, and create more meaningful pathways to resolution.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important conversation and learn from fellow panelists and participants.
