We are super happy to announce that today marks the launch of the West Virginia WIC Breastfeeding Support Hotline, operated by Appalachian Breastfeeding Network! This hotline is available 24/7 for West Virginians -- focusing on WIC participants, but available to all West Virginians! This hotline also has an in-house referral team built in - IBCLCs, RDs, and Mental Health Specialists (PMH-Cs) are available to speak with callers as needed. If you know of anyone in WV that could benefit from this hotline, please pass it along!

This is a much needed resource for WV moms and families 💙💛

OB/GYN providers are often the first, and sometimes only, provider a perinatal patient sees. The WV Perinatal Psychiatric Access Program (WV PPAP) is a free resource built specifically for frontline providers to support and build their capacity to treat perinatal psychiatric disorders during pre-conception, pregnancy and postpartum.

Whether you're seeing a patient with prenatal anxiety, postpartum depression, or anything in between, expert support is just a phone call away.

Announcements regarding appointments and payment as of May 2026:

How to make an appointment:
Complete appointment request on our website, call, or email.
www.connectionsot.com or 304-935-0565. Your provider can always refer by faxing a doctor's order to 304-345-7386. Watch your inbox or check your phone because you’ll get a response within 24 hours.
Once an appointment is scheduled, you’ll get a confirmation text with all the appointment details and emailed intake forms and consents.

Insurance Coverage: As an OT, I am in network with most insurance plans and Medicaid. I currently cannot take Cigna or Highmark Health Options as they will not reimburse for OT. In order to bill as an OT for feeding therapy, we need a referral from your pediatrician. It can be faxed to 304-345-7386.

Lactation: In 2023 I joined The Lactation Network as a way to get lactation appointments covered at 100%. Unfortunately, it is getting harder to get insurance to cover lactation visits. At this time if you have UHC/UMR or Aetna, you may be able to get your visits covered.

Private pay is also an option.

As an Occupational Therapist and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with an extensive background in infant and toddler feeding, I have a whole body approach to feeding.

I offer breastfeeding assessments including weighted feedings, feeding plans and education.

I offer bottle feeding assessments including formula education, flow rates and finding a bottle to meet your baby’s needs.

I provide education to optimize your baby’s motor skill development and aid feeding skills.

I can do pre and post therapy to achieve optimal outcomes for a frenectomy.

I also evaluate feeding skills for the transition to solid foods and provide education.

All areas include a detailed treatment plan sent to you following any appointment.
