October is breast cancer awareness month, and this is something that is very close to our hearts here at CSU DPT. Our beloved Executive Assistant, Mrs. Kelly Taylor hit one year cancer free in February! She is a fighter, she’s resilient, she’s a woman of God, loves her husband and children, and our students with everything she has. We are so grateful for her and what she means to us, and for the Lords healing hand in her journey. We see the battles that many face with a breast cancer diagnosis, and we recognize the challenges and struggles while also maintaining a spirit of hope in Lord and his provision. This year, our students made bracelets to wear in support of Mrs. Kelly and all those who are, and have been, just like her! From CSU DPT, we love you, Mrs. Kelly! 💖🌷🌸🎀🩷

Our 1st Annual PT vs. PA Field Day was one for the books!! From the competition to the teamwork, we had the best time bringing our programs together for an afternoon of fun, games, and some serious rivalry! Thank you to Charleston Southern University PA Program for being the best competition!! Until next year! 🏆🏐🥇

Introducing the newest members of the Charleston Southern DPT family! 🤍🥼 Our Class of 2028 celebrated an exciting milestone at their professionalism ceremony as they received their first white coats. This ceremony marks the beginning of their journey into the profession and all that lies ahead. We cannot wait to watch them continue to grow into compassionate, knowledgeable, and confident physical therapists!

Dr. Feller demonstrated the use and importance of the Lite Gait to our second year students today. This body weight support ambulation assistive device helps reduce the weight-bearing load during gait for patients suffering from SCI or other pathologies while walking on differing surfaces 👟

New semester means new skills!! Today the Class of 2027 got to learn serial casting application and removal in Neuromuscular II! This technique is widely used, especially in pediatrics, for limb adjustments to help assist with increasing range of motion and decreasing further complications!! Thank you to Floyd Brace Company to assisting our students and facility! 👶🏻🩼🩺

This afternoon, the Class of 2027 had the honor of presenting a check to Phil Palmer, Marine Corps veteran and founder of WarriorWOD ! 🇺🇸

Through our 3rd Annual Hustle for Heroes 5K, along with generous outside donations, our program was able to raise $8,000 to provide 8 veterans with the opportunity to complete the Warrior WOD program at no cost to them.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of the WarriorWOD foundation and honored to support an organization that is dedicated to helping and serving our veterans. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible! ❤️
