After many sleepless nights and much deliberation...Holy Cow Yoga Center is staying Holy Cow Yoga Center!

Of course she is a little leaner, but maybe that is just what she needed. Tashi is remaining the Studio Manager extraordinaire...along with Steven and Patty our front desk Yogi team is complete!

Shifting and changing with grace is what our practice teaches us. The impermanence of all things is what our practice tells us to remember, because...well...change is inevitable. Just when we think we have found steady ground, change comes along.

The key is that within all change is an opportunity to see the lesson. Sometimes it's the lesson of gratitude for what we already have, maybe it's that of letting go. However, that doesn't mean it is easy! Facing the difficulties of our life can be like climbing a steep mountain; filled with challenges and the unknown.

I can remember years ago, my husband and I started a hike up Yosemite. We were 3/4 of the way up, which was quite difficult, and I said "Let's sit for a moment and have a snack." We made our way through some shrubbery to a little rock overlooking Yosemite Falls. It was absolutely gorgeous!

The sun was hitting the falls with exquisite beauty and It was there that I turned to him and said, "I don't need to go any further, this is what I wanted to see." So we laid back taking in the majestic view for quite sometime and then decided to head back down.

Mission accomplished! For the top was not the destination, it was the view of the falls from a different perspective. To some that might have been "giving up", but for me and my hubby it was just as satisfying to have made some of the climb and seen our view than to miss that view and get to the top.

Sometimes we have to check our fortitude and stay open, because winning is NOT the name of the game. It is always the journey, not the destination that we get to take with us at the end of our life. So enjoy the ride!

It can be a beautiful thing when a single student shows up to practice, because it gives us teachers get the chance to get to know them better.

This epic shot features of one of our lovely regulars, Celeste, during a little one on one play time yesterday morning. Celeste has a background in nursing, and emphasized just how important it is to move every single day, even just a little!

Now, getting your foot behind your head certainly isn’t the only way to soak up the benefits of your practice (hehe)

Simply choosing to show up, and dedicate time for YOU is what the medicine of yoga is made from.
