Vandalia Health CAMC Women and Children's Hospital

Vandalia Health CAMC Women and Children's Hospital West Virginia’s first freestanding women and children's hospital.

At CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital, we are committed to providing life-changing and life-saving care to our community. Every day, we are dedicated to improving and advancing the wellbeing and health of the families we serve through quality clinical care, innovative research and medical education. Our compassionate, expert team of physicians encompasses multiple specialties and services so that

your family can find top-notch care – right here, close to home. Each year more than 2,000 babies are born at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital, many of which are high-risk births. We are home to the region's largest and busiest Level III neonatal intensive care unit and level I (highest level) pediatric intensive care unit. For our young patients, our pediatric physicians provide consultation and care in more than 30 specialties including adolescent medicine, allergy and immunology, cardiology, critical care medicine, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, neonatal-perinatal medicine, neurology, pulmonary medicine and surgery. For women, we offer obstetric services, including high-risk maternal-fetal medicine, in addition to a full range of gynecologic services. The CAMC Family Resource Center, located on the Women and Children's Hospital campus, provides short-term counseling, family-based health education and guided tours of our hospital's triage, labor/delivery/recovery and mother/baby units. The Children’s Advocacy Center provides children and families with professional, compassionate care to reduce trauma often experienced by children who are victims of abuse.

Partnering with Mid-Atlantic Mother's Milk Bank, Vandalia Health CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital now serves local mothers and their babies as West Virginia’s first breast milk dispensary. Last year, the hospital became the state’s first breast milk depot, allowing approved donors to drop off their frozen breast milk donations. Since the depot opened, CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital has collected thousands of ounces of breast milk. Learn about the screening and donation process by visiting midatlanticmilkbank.org/donate.

Vandalia Health CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital is committed to providing supportive care during pregnancy, labor and delivery and after delivery. The first year after delivery is the most crucial for a new mom’s mental health. That’s why OB Nurse Navigator, Katelyn Jarrett and CipherOutreach contact new moms, assess their recovery and provide help if needed. Ensuring new moms are safe and healthy is our priority. For more information about this program, call 304-388-2545.
