Living with chronic knee pain from osteoarthritis β€” but told you're "not quite ready" for a knee replacement? There may be another option worth knowing about. 🦡

Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure that treats knee osteoarthritis pain at its source. Rather than addressing worn cartilage directly, G*E targets the inflammation that drives the pain β€” a thin catheter is guided into the small arteries feeding the knee joint, where tiny particles are used to reduce the abnormal blood flow behind that inflammation.

For many patients who haven't found lasting relief from physical therapy, medication, or injections, G*E can be a bridge between conservative treatment and surgery. It's performed with minimal sedation, and it doesn't prevent you from having a knee replacement down the road if you ever need one.

G*E isn't right for everyone, and results vary from patient to patient β€” the best way to know if you're a candidate is a conversation with our team. Reach out to learn more. πŸ“ž

Leg pain, heaviness, swelling. It's easy to write these off as part of getting older or being on your feet all day. But they can also be early signs of vein disease, and most people live with them far longer than they need to.

Our 60-second Vein Quiz makes it easy to check your symptoms and find out if it's time to see a specialist. Take it today and take the first step toward relief.

Vein disease doesn't always start with something you can see. It often begins with heavy, achy legs at the end of the day, easy to dismiss, easy to ignore. But over time, untreated vein disease can lead to visible vein changes, skin damage, and even open wounds near the ankle. The good news? It's treatable.

The earlier, the better. Read more about what happens when you keep waiting: https://coastalvvc.com/untreated-vein-disease-what-happens-if-you-wait/
