I can't put into words how much I loved my Grandma and how much I will miss her. She was the most kind and loving woman I will ever know. Her family had to share her as so many people considered her as another "mother" or "grandmother".
She showed respect to everyone. There wasn't a time I would visit that she didn't take the to time to introduce me to her nurse or the janitor or anyone else that walked by. Everyone was important to her. Also, somehow, she was able to see right past people's faults and focus on the positive. She wouldn't speak ill of someone, even if they deserved it.
She was full of great stories, but sometimes you had to pull them out of her because she was more concerned with asking and caring about others. She would buy snacks she would never eat just so she could share them. Good luck saying no thank you. You would end up leaving with a banana, an apple, or lots of candy (probably all three).
Nothing could get her down. Even towards the end of her illness and pain, she would smile and play "peekaboo" with Winnie. She was suffering badly, yet she didn't even complain. She was a true example of a Christian woman and was everything a grandmother, mother, mother-in-law, etc. should be. She was everything to everyone, a true matriarch of the family.
I'm going to miss our visits and wish I could hug and kiss you one more time. I love you Grandma.
