Please join us in welcoming two new WHC team members, Interim Executive Director Leahanne Thomas and Development Director Erin Dunmore, to the Women's Health Center of West Virginia family!
Serving as WHC WV's Interim Executive Director, Leahanne will be lending her expertise to provide stable leadership during this time of transition. She comes to us through IES, a firm that specializes in guiding nonprofits through executive director changes.
Leahanne specializes in leaving people and places in better shape than she found them, leading organizations through complex transitions, operational turnarounds, and periods of strategic growth. With more than two decades of leadership experience across healthcare, public benefits, membership associations, and mission-driven organizations, she brings a steady, strategic, and deeply human-centered approach to her leadership style.
Over the next 9 months, Leahanne will work closely with our team, partners and community to ensure WHC continues delivering excellent care without interruption for 50 more years.
We are grateful to have her steady hand at the helm during this pivotal chapter for WHC.
In the coming weeks, we look forward to introducing Leahanne more fully to our community. Please stay tuned for opportunities to connect with her directly and learn more about her leadership.
Next, we’re excited to introduce Erin Dunmore (she/her), who has stepped into the role of Development Director of WHC WV. Erin brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, grant management, fundraising, and community partnerships. She has worked with organizations focused on sexual and reproductive health, ending gender-based violence, and advancing health equity.
She has a dog named Indie (after indie music) which seems especially appropriate now that she's leading development efforts for an indie repro clinic that has been supporting West Virginians for the past 50 years.
Help us welcome Erin and Leahanne in the comments! 💜
