Acne caused by wearing a mask for long periods of time is not a new concept. For professions that require you to wear a mask, it’s always been an issue.😷

Here’s how to prevent it:

✨ Daily cleansing and toning as well as monthly skin care treatments help tremendously.

✨ Daily washing of reusable masks as well as frequently changing masks, especially after sweating and exercise, can reduce breakouts.

💮 Acne prone skin should be cleansed regularly; once in the morning and again in the evening. Cleansers with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can help prevent breakouts.

💧 If you have skin that tends to be dry, be sure to hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer. This can serve as a barrier between your skin and the mask.
