Things got a little rice-y at The Colonnade at West Ashley!

Our residents traded in their forks for sushi mats during a fun, hands-on Sushi Making Class with Chef Rebecca! 👩‍🍳🍱

From rolling to slicing (and plenty of taste-testing!), our residents showed off their sushi-making skills like pros!

Our Hot Dog Fundraiser benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association was a sizzling success! 🔥 Great food, lots of laughs, and even a walking HOT DOG! 😂🌭

Our residents had such a great time enjoying a performance by the talented Jim Seem! There’s nothing better than good music, familiar songs, and a room full of smiles. ❤️

🍎 A little flour, a lot of fun, and something sweet at the end! 🍏

Today, Rebecca joined us for a hands-on cooking class and taught our residents how to make homemade apple fritters! Everyone got in on the fun, from preparing the apples and mixing everything together to, of course, the very best part… taste testing! 😋

There’s nothing better than learning something new, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying a warm, delicious treat together. Our apple fritters were definitely a hit! ❤️

We couldn’t welcome Joyce to The Colonnade without making sure one of her favorite people was here to greet her too — Gabriel Iglesias, “Fluffy”! ❤️

As one of his biggest fans, we knew this little surprise would make her move-in day extra special. We’re so happy you’re here, Joyce!

🎶 The King was in the building! 👑💙

Our residents were all shook up during a fantastic Elvis performance at The Colonnade! From the classic hits to the signature moves, there were plenty of smiles, singing, dancing, and even a few special serenades. 🎤✨

Thank you to our talented young Elvis entertainer for bringing so much energy, laughter, and nostalgia to our community. He definitely had the whole room rocking! 🎶💙

A huge thank you to all of our amazing healthcare providers and community partners who joined us and took the time to connect with our residents and families during our provider night. We are so grateful for the relationships we have with the professionals who help us provide additional services and support right here within our community.

It was wonderful seeing our families, residents, team members, and providers all together—asking questions, making connections, and learning more about the many home health, hospice, rehabilitation, medical, and supportive services available to our residents.

And an extra special thank you to all of our families who attended! Events like this are such a great opportunity to come together, learn more about the resources available, and strengthen the partnerships that help us care for the people we love. 💕
