"Creativity begins where limitations end—not because the limits disappear, but because imagination refuses to stop there."

One thing is certain—you never know what our therapists will come up with next as they creatively tailor treatment to help clients achieve their goals and get back to doing what they love.

Why Scapular Strength Matters
The shoulder doesn't work alone. The scapula (shoulder blade) provides the stable foundation that allows the arm to move efficiently, whether you're reaching overhead, lifting groceries, gardening, throwing a ball, or playing your favorite sport...like kayaking 🛶

"Now I'm able to stand in a room and talk with my friends and family without having to hold on to something. I feel so much steadier"

Balance isn’t just about standing still—it’s about moving with confidence through your day.
In physical therapy, we focus on improving balance and functional reach so you can safely bend, stretch, and move without fear of falling. Whether it’s reaching into a cabinet, stepping over obstacles, or getting back to the activities you love, these skills matter more than most people realize.
Small improvements in stability can make a big difference in independence, safety, and quality of life.

What is a Dead Bug exercise you ask?
A dead bug exercise (often just called “dead bug”) is a core-strengthening movement used a lot in physical therapy and fitness.

What it is
It’s a core stability exercise where you lie on your back and move opposite arm and leg while keeping your spine stable.
Why it’s called “dead bug”
You look like a bug lying on its back with arms and legs in the air 😄

How to do it?
Lie on your back
Lift arms straight up toward the ceiling
Bring hips and knees to 90° (tabletop position)
Keep your lower back gently pressed into the floor
Slowly lower:
Right arm + left leg toward the floor
Return to start
Switch sides

Key focus
Keep core tight (don’t let your back arch)
Move slowly and controlled
Breathe out as you lower

What it works
Deep core muscles (especially transverse abdominis)
Coordination between upper and lower body
Spinal stability (great for back pain rehab)
When it’s used
Low back pain rehab
Postural training
Athletic core training
Early-stage core strengthening

Thanks for joining us at Edgar May pop up session about low back pain.

🌿 Back Pain? Physical Therapy and a structured exercise program can help. 🌿
Back pain can make everyday activities difficult — but the right treatment can help you move and feel better.
Physical therapy combines hands-on treatment and targeted exercise to address the root cause of pain, not just the symptoms.
👐 Manual Therapy may include:
• Joint and soft tissue mobilization
• Muscle release techniques
• Improving spinal mobility
• Reducing muscle tension and pain
💪 Therapeutic Exercise helps:
• Strengthen core and back muscles
• Improve flexibility and posture
• Restore healthy movement patterns
• Prevent future episodes of back pain
When manual therapy and exercise are combined, many people experience faster pain relief and better long-term results.
✨ Move better. Feel stronger. Get back to the activities you enjoy.
