Guilty… Of using the word "healing".
Heck — it’s even on my business cards.

I use it. SEO uses it. Shamans use it. Therapists use it…
But if I’m honest, there’s something about the word that doesn’t fully sit right with me.

Because “healing” can imply that we are broken, inadequate, or damaged.
And I don’t believe that’s true.

We can’t stitch, sew, or bandage our trauma like a physical wound.
It’s part of our lived experience — but it doesn’t define who we are.

Our minds can be very convincing, telling us that we are what has happened to us; creating all the reasons, excuses, stories, and identities.
But when you begin to peel back the layers… the conditioning, the protective patterns, the fear and control…
what’s underneath is something much deeper.

At our core, there is wholeness. There is presence. There is something untouched. Love resides.

Maybe instead of “healing,” a more empowering lens is this:
We are building capacity.
We are learning to navigate.
We are expanding awareness and consciousness.

Yes, we may carry the imprints of our experiences —
but it’s how we relate to them that creates freedom.

And when we begin to understand our own nervous system,
that's where we can start to create space.

Life isn’t always rainbows and unicorns. Sometimes it’s heavy, uncomfortable, and hard.

Lately, I’ve been noticing new holding patterns in my body… new nervous system responses to life’s challenges. My left shoulder tightening as I try to fall asleep. My thigh tensing while I sit at my desk.

It’s my body communicating.

Intellectually, I can connect these sensations to what’s happening in my life — patterns, beliefs, experiences. But what feels most empowering isn’t figuring it all out… it’s the fact that I notice it at all.

Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have had a clue.
Now, I notice.

And in that noticing, I offer myself grace. I slow down. I lie down, close my eyes, and allow myself to feel what’s there — the sensations, the discomfort. Gently, I begin to peel back the layers… discovering the emotions and stories held within.

And something shifts.

When I witness and validate what’s present, it begins to move. To soften. To change. To lighten.

So simple… and yet so complex.

The body holds so much wisdom — if we’re willing to listen.

Blue Lotus has been revered for centuries as a sacred Egyptian water flower, traditionally used in spiritual and contemplative practices.

In my ceremonies and private sessions, I offer a gentle Blue Lotus tincture as an optional support before we begin. Many experience it as subtly calming — helping the nervous system soften, the breath deepen, and the mind settle into a more meditative state.

From there, we move into guided breath and somatic attunement, listening inward to what the body is ready to reveal. There is something profoundly beautiful about supported stillness — about witnessing what unfolds when we slow down enough to truly feel.
