There was a time in my life when I accepted less than I deserved simply because I was grateful to be included. In relationships. In business. In opportunities. I confused access with value and silence with peace.

What I’ve learned through life, loss, healing, and rebuilding is this: knowing your worth is not arrogance—it’s clarity. It’s understanding that you can be kind without shrinking, supportive without being used, and loving without abandoning yourself in the process.

Sometimes knowing your worth means walking away from relationships that only value your presence when you’re pouring into them. Sometimes it means saying no to opportunities that cost you your peace, your health, or your dignity. And sometimes it means finally believing that your gifts, experience, and voice deserve to take up space.

The hardest part isn’t always recognizing your worth. The hardest part is honoring it consistently.

And truthfully? That lesson changed my life.
