We are proud to partner with Hajee House foundation. Our medical director Dr. Logan Adams and one of our counselors, Dane Mullis were part of the team interviewed by WSOC-TV on the vital harm reduction work being done at Hajee House.

In a few months, our brand new mobile unit will be parked at Hajee House where we will be able to serve patients in collaboration with Hajee House's overdose prevention education, resources and training.

💙 How Can I Lose With a Team Like This💜

Today was special. WSOC-TV Channel 9 came out, served alongside us, loved on our community, and showed what true partnership looks like.

But I also have to give flowers to my Hajee House crew. Y’all show up every single time. Through the heat, the long days, the challenges, and the growth, you continue to serve with love, compassion, and dedication.

When I look around and see this team standing together, I can’t help but smile and think… how can I lose with a team like this?

Thank you, WSOC-TV, for believing in our mission. And thank you to my Hajee House family for always holding it down. Together, we are changing lives and building something bigger than ourselves. 💙🙏🏾

Patient Recovery Story | Jamie Weatherly UnLoaded

✨️ Meet Jamie Weatherly, native Charlottean, author, podcaster, motivational speaker and former chef. An authentic storyteller, he openly shares his story of hope and resilience to inspire others, especially those struggling with substance use disorder.

✨️ We are grateful that years after treatment, our patients return to share their experience and inspire our current and future patients that recovery is possible.

Today we celebrate and bid farewell to our beloved Revenue Cycle Manger of 34 years, Marsha Childers. She is the embodiment of compassion while crunching numbers. 🫶

🎊 Our team gathered for a sendoff with stories, tears, speeches, ice cream and lots of hugs.

✨Marsha shared that during her 34 years on staff “There have been so many changes not to mention the 2 name changes. The agency was known as Open House Counseling Service when I was hired. There were only 85 MAT patients, and McLeod was only contracted with Mecklenburg County at that time.

There has been laughter, tears and computer system conversions which caused a lot of the tears. I have met so many wonderful people here and most of these I consider lifelong friends.

It is hard to say goodbye, but I must and I am just transferring to my new position of full time Mimi and pool floater.”

🙏 We are so grateful for all of your faithful years of service to our organization, patients and team. You are a kind soul with the very best heart and may all the gardening and grandmothering fulfill and surround you, Martha!

Our vision to be the healthcare provider of choice for patients with substance use disorder is one we see through a holistic lens.

We know that treatment is more than medicine.
More than appointments.
More than group therapy.
It's beholding the whole person, listening, creating space to be still and present and celebrating successes together.

From a serene reading nook in our residential care unit to friendly staff team serving our medication-assisted treatment patients... to creating unexpected moments of ice cream on a Tuesday for patients, we are here for your recovery journey and will treat each patient with dignity and respect.

Recovery is a team sport.

🤝 Our Community Outreach Specialist, Dr. Farah Laliwala, with esteemed non-profit friend and partner, Alesia Fleming, Board Chair of Anderson Foundation Inc. pictured here at our brand new Monroe clinic grand opening. Thanks for celebrating with us, Alesia!

🌟 Charlotte-based Anderson Outreach helps equity-impacted youth in and out of government care, currently residing in North Carolina. They support young adults who have been scarred by emotional, environmental, and psychological traumas and advocate for youth in need and those who have experienced abandonment and neglect.

🤝 We are grateful to collaborate with other organizations, especially youth focused organizations, who care for the wellbeing of youth in North Carolina. If you know an adolescent struggling with substance use disorder, McLeod offers outpatient programs to help. See link in profile under services.

🤝 From local health fairs and nonprofit awareness events to community events, we welcome the opportunity to join forces with you in bringing holistic health and recovery care for all ages to our state.

It's and today we're celebrating TWELVE years (this month!) of LaPorsha Miller being a treasured part of our McLeod team. 🎉

💟 LaPorsha serves as a LPN in our Charlotte Medication-Assisted Treatment clinic and says..
"I enjoy interacting with the patients and watching their journey to sobriety. It’s rewarding to be part of a program that makes a real difference in patients’ lives. I enjoy working at the Charlotte location because of the strong sense of teamwork and support among staff."

✨️When she's not caring for our patients, she loves traveling, reading, crafts, and spending time with my family and friends.

💟 Her encouragement for anyone struggling with substance use disorder...

"Remember you’re a work in progress. You may have setbacks, but don’t give up: it will get better."

🙏 We are so grateful for your longevity on our staff, LaPorsha, and your heart for helping our patients find traction on their recovery journeys.

✨️Looking for a nursing position in North Carolina? We're hiring at several of our 8 locations. See link in profile.

Recovery is for EVERYBODY.

Not just for people who can afford treatment.
Not just for someone who has a support system.
Not just for those who live in metropolitan areas.
Not just for folks with their own mode of transportation.
Not just for young people.
Not just for adults.

Since 1969, we have been making the road to recovery more accessible.

With 8 locations across the state of North Carolina, we are in relentless pursuit of listening to our patients, understanding the barriers to substance use disorder treatment, and improving the quality of holistic care for every patient.
