You don’t heal your body image by focusing harder on your body.
You heal it by shifting your intention.
taught me a lot in our recent conversation.

High intention. Low body focus. That’s the sweet spot.

When you move, nourish, and care for your body from love—not pressure—everything changes. Because the more we obsess over our bodies, the more peace we lose.

God never asked you to worship your body—He asked you to care for it.

You can honor your body without making it your identity.
Because the goal isn’t perfection… it’s peace.

Hi, I’m Rachael. I realized it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself here, so I wanted to share a little bit about me…

I’m a licensed therapist, writer, and podcaster. I’m passionate about helping people make sense of what they feel, live more authentically, and create meaningful connections with the people around them.

I write about emotional growth, faith, and practical life wisdom, and I’m working on a book that blends biblical insight with everyday, real-life advice for taking care of your mind, heart, and soul. 📖✨

I also host a podcast, The Overshare with Rachael Elmore, where I get real about life, emotions, relationships, and the messy-but-beautiful process of becoming more fully yourself. 🎙️

Beyond that, I care deeply about supporting women in finding their voice, navigating relationships without overfunctioning, and learning to prioritize emotional honesty. I love talking about the things that matter, and creating a space where we can be honest, vulnerable, and human together.

I’m here to challenge you gently, and remind you that it’s okay to feel all the feelings — because they’re part of the journey of becoming who you were made to be.

I’d love to hear from you! Drop a comment or DM and let me know a little about you, too. Lets do this ☺️

Motherhood is lonely.

There, I said it.

You can be surrounded by people… constantly needed… constantly touched… constantly responsible… and still feel unseen in the deepest parts of yourself.

I think that’s because beneath everything we want as human beings is one simple thing: to be deeply known.

Not just needed.
Not just appreciated.
Known.

The philosopher Aristotle once wrote that humans are “by nature social animals.” But I think what he was getting at is even deeper than just being social — we long for connection where our inner world is actually understood.

And motherhood can make that complicated.

You can love your children more than life itself… and still carry parts of your story, exhaustion, identity, and loneliness that no one really sees.

In an upcoming episode of the podcast, we’re talking honestly about the loneliness of motherhood — the parts many women feel but rarely say out loud.

If you’ve ever loved your family deeply and still felt a quiet ache of isolation… this conversation is for you.

More soon. 🤍

Overstimulated? That might be an understatement 😵‍💫. If that’s you, keep reading.

Did you know that your environment impacts your anxiety? Next time you’re feel overwhelmed or anxious, an overstimulated environment probably isn’t helping. Maybe it’s the witching hours between dinner and bedtime, when you’re phone is still full of unread text messages from the day, the kitchen is full of dirty dishes, and maybe you can’t totally tell if your kids are passionately playing, whining, or arguing over the noise the TV is making.
It’s all just a lot! And y’all, it’s making your anxiety worse!
Next time you feel overwhelmed try taking these three steps:
Check your environment, what is stimulating your senses? Is your phone stressing you out? Or is there a toy your baby is playing with that is making a lot of noise? Identify those things!
Find one thing you can turn off. Once you figure out what is causing dysregulation, turn something off. Maybe it’s your phone or maybe it’s taking that loud toy and putting it up on a high shelf.
Take 3 big, deep breaths and start to regulate your nervous system.
