STORY TIME: Callie’s Tooth Drama! 💕

Callie came in for her routine dental cleaning, ready to show off her fresh breath and adorable smile! But plot twist… we found a tooth brewing an infection! 🦠

Luckily, we caught it early and were able to take care of it before it became a bigger problem. Callie’s tooth was up to no good, but we caught it in the act! 🕵️‍♀️

💡 **DID YOU KNOW?** Dental disease is common in BOTH dogs and cats, and our furry friends can be experts at hiding dental pain! Regular dental cleanings help us catch hidden problems before they become bigger, more painful issues.

Callie is a great reminder that **healthy smiles are about more than just looking cute!** 💖

He came in for surgery, but we couldn’t stop talking about his hair.

This little guy got SO much attention for his punk rock ‘do while he was here. Honestly, the surgery was important, but that hair was definitely the main event. 🖤

STORY TIME: He Ate WHAT?!

A few weeks ago this handsome guy decided that a rock looked like a perfectly reasonable snack.

His body disagreed. 🤦‍♀️

After vomiting and feeling sick as a dog, he came to see us. An X-ray revealed the problem: a rock was stuck in his intestine!

He needed surgery, and our team was up for the challenge. They removed the rock along with about 5 inches of damaged intestine.

Thankfully, this story has a VERY happy ending — he’s doing great and back to being his goofy self! ❤️

And while we’d love to say this is a rare occurrence… dogs will be dogs.

Vomiting or acting “off”? Don’t assume it’s just an upset stomach. Sometimes there’s a whole ROCK in the story.

We’re proud to provide advanced surgical care right here at Whole Pet when our patients need it most.

🎉 One year of Dr. Hemstreet! 🎉

Help us celebrate Dr. Hemstreet’s 1-year anniversary at Whole Pet Mountain Island! 🥳

In the past year, she’s become so much more than a great doctor — she’s an incredible leader, a fantastic teammate, and honestly… one of the funniest people around here. 😅

She takes the time to explain things, makes sure clients understand what’s happening with their pet, follows up with her clients. She genuinely cares about the people and pets she works with and also somehow manages to make even the busiest days a little more fun.

We’re lucky to have her on our team. 💖

Drop Dr. Hemstreet some love in the comments and help us celebrate her first year! 👏

It’s October 1st, so we’ve decided today is Black Cat Appreciation Day. 🖤

Our little October VIP came in for a preventative dental cleaning today, because being cute and mysterious doesn’t mean you get a pass on dental health. 🦷

Regular dental care helps keep plaque and tartar under control and supports healthier teeth and gums — even for our spooky little house panthers.

So here’s to black cats, fresh teeth, and kicking off spooky season the right way. 🎃🖤
