Sometimes it’s a baby suddenly turning their head both directions more comfortably.

Your circadian rhythm is essentially your internal 24-hour clock, helping coordinate when you feel awake, when you feel sleepy, and many of the processes happening throughout your day.

And one of the biggest signals it uses? Light.

☀️ Morning light helps tell your brain, “the day has started.”
🏃🏼‍♀️ Daytime movement reinforces wakefulness and activity.
🌙 Evening darkness helps prepare the body for sleep.
🧠 Your nervous system helps coordinate these daily rhythms.

Sciatica doesn’t always look like someone grabbing their low back and saying, “My back hurts.”

The sciatic nerve travels from the lower back down through the leg, so irritation along that pathway can be experienced in a lot of different places.

For one person, it might feel like pain into the glute or thigh. For another, it may be tingling or numbness farther down the leg. Some notice burning, heaviness, or symptoms that change depending on how they sit or move.

That’s why we don’t want to make assumptions based only on where you feel something.

We want to understand the bigger picture — how your body is moving, where it may be compensating, and what could be contributing to the irritation in the first place. 🤎

Your jaw doesn’t function in isolation.

The muscles and joints around your jaw, head, and upper neck all work together — which is why jaw tension can sometimes show up alongside things like neck and shoulder tightness, headaches, clicking or popping, or discomfort with chewing.

So when someone tells us their jaw has been bothering them, we’re not JUST thinking about the jaw.

We want to understand what’s happening around it, how the neck is moving, where tension is being held, and what the nervous system may be adapting to.

We LOVE getting updates like this. 🥹🤎

Little Colson started with us at just 3 months old, and getting to watch him grow and thrive has been such a gift.

One thing we talk about often with our infant families is that babies experience stress, too. Pregnancy, birth, feeding challenges, digestion, disrupted sleep, and simply adjusting to life outside the womb can all be a lot for a brand-new nervous system.

Our goal with pediatric chiropractic care is to gently support the nervous system and the body’s ability to adapt through all of it.

Thank you to this sweet family for trusting us with Colson. We’re so grateful to be part of his story. 🤎
