Our 3rd Annual Pinewood Derby at The Cypress brought together members , families, and friends for an afternoon of creativity, craftsmanship, and friendly competition. The journey begins in our woodworking shop, where our woodworkers help bring each vision to life—one handcrafted car at a time.

From the imaginative designs to the suspense at the finish line, every race was filled with cheers, laughter, and unforgettable moments. It’s traditions like these that bring generations together and showcase the lifestyle we cherish every day.

This Independence Day, The Cypress of Charlotte had the honor of hosting a thoughtful conversation with several of our veteran members, who shared reflections on their military service, the American values that continue to guide them, and the experiences that have shaped their lives.

Their stories offered a meaningful perspective on courage, sacrifice, and service while reminding us of the enduring impact one generation can have on the next. We are deeply grateful for their willingness to share their experiences and proud to have these remarkable individuals as part of our community.

At The Cypress of Charlotte, we believe some of life's greatest moments come from doing what you love—especially when it's for a meaningful cause.

Last week, our members celebrated Do What You Love to End Alzheimer's with a full day of activities that brought our community together. From the uplifting rhythms of our drum circles and creating bouquets to share with residents at The Stewart to enjoying an ice cream social, lively line dancing, and ending the day with Rock & Roll Bingo, each moment was filled with joy, purpose, and connection.

Every laugh shared, every dance step taken, and every bouquet created was a tribute to those living with Alzheimer's and a reminder that together, we can make a difference.

Thank you to our incredible members, families, and team for embracing the spirit of the day and helping turn the things we love into hope for a future without Alzheimer's. 💜

History came to life during our recent visit to Kings Mountain National Military Park!

As America begins celebrating its Semi-Quincentennial, Cypress members embarked on the first of three special excursions exploring the people, places, and events that helped shape our nation's story. Members enjoyed learning about the pivotal Battle of Kings Mountain while spending time together and experiencing a remarkable piece of local history.

We look forward to continuing this journey through America's past as we make our next stops in this commemorative series.
