Repost from Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC and FF Steven Coakley Foundation

+ + +

A powerful tribute is live at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte for the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Two pillars of light rose above the Uptown skyline from dusk until dawn on September 10 and 11, creating a visible symbol of remembrance and reflection that was seen for miles. A steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center is also on display.

The Flags and Lights of Remembrance are presented by the Firefighter Steven Coakley Foundation in memory of those lost on September 11, 2001.

Two things can be true at once.

You can appreciate what you have and recognize that you need support. You can love your life and still be struggling.

There is room for both.
