Novant Health Randolph Pediatrics provides preventive healthcare and comprehensive medical diagnosis and treatment to infants, children and adolescents. Our five board-certified pediatricians and two certified nurse practitioners specialize in pediatric primary care, following our young patients from birth through college age. To serve our families better, we offer appointments at two locations on Fairview Road and in South Ballantyne.

🍼💙 RSV Season Is Here — Help Protect Your Little One! 💙🫁

RSV is a common respiratory virus, but it can cause serious illness in babies and young children—especially during their first RSV season.

The good news? Protection is available!

👶 Babies may be eligible for an RSV preventive antibody that provides protection against severe RSV illness.

🤰 RSV vaccination during pregnancy is another way some babies can receive protection during their first months of life.

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

This month, breast cancer awareness holds an extra-special meaning for our pediatric family. 💗

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our very own, Dominique Carter, CMA — a breast cancer survivor! 💪🎀

Dominique faced a battle that required incredible strength, courage, and perseverance, and today we are grateful to celebrate her victory alongside her. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and supporting those facing breast cancer.

Dominique, we celebrate YOU — your strength, your resilience, and the light you bring to our patients, families, and team every day. 💕

This October, we wear pink for the fighters, admire the survivors, honor those we have lost, and continue to hope for a future without breast cancer.

🤒 TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL?

School mornings can get tricky when your child wakes up feeling under the weather.

Keep your child home and contact their healthcare provider when appropriate if they're experiencing symptoms such as:
🌡️ Fever
🤮 Repeated vomiting
🚽 Significant diarrhea
😮‍💨 Difficulty breathing
😴 Illness severe enough that they can't comfortably participate in school

Remember: your child's school may have its own return-to-school requirements.
