Most of us don't notice the moment we leave our bodies. Often times, it happens quietly.

Our attention moves from one responsibility to the next. We stay focused on what needs to get done, what someone else needs from us, or what we're trying to figure out. Before long, we've spent hours living in our minds without checking in with ourselves even once. There isn't anything wrong with that. It's simply the pace many of us have learned to live.

The beautiful thing is that returning doesn't have to be complicated.
Sometimes all it takes is a brief pause in the middle of an ordinary day.
A slow breath. A moment of noticing. A willingness to ask, "How am I, really?"

The answer doesn't need to be analyzed. You don't have to change what you discover or immediately make it better. The practice is simply remembering that your body has been here the whole time, patiently waiting for you to listen.

There is something remarkable about the American Lotus.
Its roots are anchored deep beneath the surface, buried in the mud where few people ever look. Yet each season, it rises through the water and opens toward the light without carrying the heaviness of where it began.

The lotus doesn't escape its roots. It grows from them.
There is wisdom in that.

Being rooted doesn't mean becoming stuck. It doesn't ask us to cling to what is familiar or stay buried beneath old stories. Healthy roots give us something steady to return to while allowing us to keep unfolding.

Embodied wildness invites us into that same way of living.
Grounded enough to know who we are.
Open enough to keep becoming.

The American Lotus reminds us to root deeply without becoming buried.

Traditionally, American Lotus has been associated with:
• Emotional resilience
• Heart-centered awareness
• Inner steadiness
• Spiritual growth and renewal

What allows you to stay rooted while remaining open?

For a long time, I believed the answer was to become stronger.
So I learned to ignore what I felt. When I was exhausted, I told myself to keep going. When something didn't sit right, I convinced myself I was imagining it. I spent years trusting the stories in my mind more than the signals in my own body.

Over time, something began to shift. It didn't happen because I finally found the right answer. It happened because I started paying attention.

I began noticing how my body responded before my mind had time to explain everything away. A heaviness in my chest. A restless feeling that wouldn't leave. The quiet sense that something wasn't in alignment, even when I couldn't put words to it. The more I listened, the more I realized my body had never been working against me. It had been responding honestly all along.

Embodied wildness isn't about becoming someone new. It's about rebuilding trust with the wisdom you've always carried.

Your body has its own language. It speaks through sensation, through breath, through moments that ask you to pause instead of push. The invitation isn't to judge what you feel. It's simply to notice.

When was the last time your body tried to tell you something before your mind was ready to hear it?

There are seasons in life when simply making it through the day is enough. Those seasons ask a lot of us. They teach us resilience, perseverance, and how to keep going when we aren't sure what's waiting on the other side.

But there comes a point when those same survival skills can quietly become the way we live. We stay guarded. We expect the next challenge. We forget what it feels like to exhale.

Healing isn't only about getting through the hard seasons.
It's also about recognizing when it's safe to put some of that weight down. To enjoy what's here. To welcome peace when it arrives. To let yourself experience joy without feeling like you have to earn it first.

Flourishing doesn't erase everything you've walked through.
It simply reminds you that your story has always been about more than surviving.

Survival changes the way we experience the world.

When you've spent enough time carrying stress, uncertainty, or overwhelm, your nervous system can get used to searching for the next problem before you've had a chance to enjoy what's right in front of you. That's not a flaw. It's something many of us have learned to do.

The beautiful thing is that we can learn something different.
Not overnight, and not by forcing ourselves to "be happy," but by creating small moments that remind us we're here.

Standing outside before the day begins. Pausing to notice something beautiful that would have otherwise gone unseen. Wrapping your hands around a warm cup of tea and allowing yourself a few quiet minutes without needing to accomplish anything. They may seem like small things, but they have a way of bringing us back to ourselves.

Little by little, we stop living as though every moment is something to get through and begin making room for moments we actually get to experience.

What is one small practice that helps you slow down and reconnect with yourself?

Not all resilience looks the same.
Some resilience helps us survive while other times it helps us grow.

Sea Buckthorn is a remarkable plant, capable of thriving in poor soil, strong winds, and challenging environments. It doesn't simply endure difficult conditions. It continues to nourish, restore, and bear fruit.
Its medicine offers a gentle reminder that we can remain resilient without closing our hearts.

There are seasons when strength is necessary. But there also comes a time to ask whether we've become so accustomed to surviving that we've forgotten how to soften, receive, and truly flourish.

Traditionally, Sea Buckthorn has been used to support:
✨ Skin health and natural collagen production
✨ Healthy immune function
✨ Cardiovascular wellness
✨ Digestive health and mucosal tissue support
✨ Overall vitality through its rich antioxidant and omega fatty acid content

Spiritually, Sea Buckthorn reminds us to:
🌿 Stay rooted through life's challenges without becoming hardened. 🌿 Trust that growth is possible, even in difficult seasons.
🌿 Balance resilience with softness and receptivity.
🌿 Nourish yourself as deeply as you care for others.
🌿 Remember that flourishing is different from simply surviving.

Where have you mistaken resilience for your identity?

Healing doesn't end when the crisis is over.
In many ways, that's where a different part of the journey begins.

Most of us become incredibly skilled at surviving. We learn to carry the weight, keep going, and do what needs to be done. Those skills serve us for a season. But eventually there comes a moment when simply getting through the day isn't what we're being called into anymore.

The next invitation is learning how to receive.
To enjoy a quiet morning without feeling guilty. To laugh without waiting for the other shoe to drop. To sit beneath a tree, watch a sunset, or feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and let yourself fully be there.

That kind of presence doesn't always come naturally after we've spent years in survival mode. It takes practice. It takes patience. It takes choosing, over and over again, to believe that peace is safe.

Thriving isn't about having a perfect life.
It's about giving yourself permission to experience the beauty, connection, rest, and joy that have been available to you all along.

So I'd love to hear from you.

It's easy to judge ourselves for what we feel.

We tell ourselves we shouldn't still be grieving. We wonder why we're anxious. We try to push away anger before we've even understood where it came from.

What if every emotion arrived with something worth noticing?
Not every feeling needs to become action. Sometimes it simply asks us to slow down and listen before we decide what comes next.

What has one of your emotions been trying to show you lately?

Most of us were never taught how to be with our emotions.
We learned how to push them aside, explain them away, or keep ourselves busy until they passed.

What if, instead of asking, "How do I make this go away?" we became curious about why it showed up in the first place?

Our emotions often point toward the places that need our care the most. When we stop resisting them, we create space to understand what they're asking of us.

You don't have to have everything figured out today.
Just begin by listening.
