Would like to take a moment or two, defend the brave 56 men that signed the declaration of Independence 250 years ago. Many of them were hunted down by British troops and British Loyalists. Some were killed. Some were imprisoned their family farms were destroyed. Some of their family was imprisoned and died in prison but they believed in a principle. We have had brave men and women serve in the military ever since to keep those principles safe and secure. God bless them all. God bless the USA. Happy 4th of July.

I would like to take a moment to wish everyone a very happy and safe 4th of July. This is the celebration of the founding of our nation which was founded on Christian beliefs. However, religious freedoms we are guided by the Constitution, not any other law from any other country. This country will afford you opportunities that you would not get in any other country. Embrace them. Respect the flag. Don't use it as a napkin. Brave men and women died. Fighting for that flag. And brave men and women will die in the future. Fighting for that flag. Again, wishing everybody a happy 4th!

Ordered lunch from Big City Slice. Pretty dam good pizza. No, I am a born and raised Connecticut boy. Worked in New Haven in the Italian neighborhood. Literally a block away from Sally's and Pepe's the spot to me. Those are the greatest pizzas going. Big slice is some of the best pizza I've had in Charlotte for years. Try them out

Many people will not remember. Today, June 6th brought the end of the war of all wars. World war II. This was the day that the allied forces the US, England and other countries stormed the beach at Normandy overran the Germans and brought the war to an end. Many many soldiers sacrifice still life in the name of freedom. Most people from that era are in their '90s or have passed on the younger generation. This is not even taught in school. Take a moment and just say thank you.

To all our veterans and to those currently serving in the US military. Thank you is a very simple word for a very difficult job of sacrifice that you all have made to help keep this country safe and free. To the veterans that have served and passed. God bless to those that are currently in active duty. May St. Michael the archangel watch over you and keep you safe. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice
