We had a conversation with a grandmother last week who was not aware of the function of the "top strap" for car seats.

Given that safety standards undergo changes, spreading awareness about these updates is vital for children's safety.

It is imperative that all forward-facing car seats are installed with a top tether, which serves as a crucial safety element. Once the seat is installed, check that it is securely fastened at the belt path, allowing less than 1 inch of movement, and then secure the top tether as per the instructions provided by both the vehicle and car seat manufacturers.
