Cambodia unexpectedly led to the first collaboration between a nursing team and a dental team in the Nurses with Purpose camp.

Our inaugural Cambodia mission in 2025 brought together nurses from across the United States to serve in a vulnerable village on the outskirts of Siem Reap.

During that mission, our team identified a critical and often overlooked need: access to dental care for children living in remote villages. The situation extended far beyond routine cleanings—many children were experiencing severe dental decay and losing permanent teeth before reaching adolescence.

In response, we blew the horns calling the expertise of dentists and registered dental hygienists to join us in this effort. Elated to have a dentist on board with prior mission experience in Honduras and Ukraine along with 2 RDH

Join us for this special three-part mini-series as we share what was discovered, the challenges faced, and the incredible impact made possible through interdisciplinary service.

Friends & Family Missions were inspired by returning nurses who wanted to share their mission experience with the people they love. After receiving numerous requests, we decided to make it happen!

Each July, Nurses with Purpose offers this one-of-a-kind mission experience, carefully designed to provide meaningful opportunities for both medical and non-medical volunteers to serve vulnerable communities together.

From refurbishing homes that are no longer habitable, to establishing community gardens, to feeding and supporting local families, every day brings a new opportunity to make an impact. No matter your background, everyone plays an important role in delivering hope, care, and compassion.

This special mission is offered only once each year, so be sure to sign up early for our 2027 Friends & Family Mission!

Q: I thought you were going on a mission trip not vacation?!

With each mission, Nurses with Purpose makes sure that we incorporate fun activities and excursions within the area of service. Not only fun but history, art, culture immersion and optional extras like hot air balloon rides.
We want to make sure our volunteers have the best experience that a medical mission has to offer and we think Nurses with Purpose does it the best!

Spring Mission Season started profoundly with a new country added to our service list! Welcome Ethiopia 🇪🇹 along with South Africa 🇿🇦 , Kenya 🇰🇪, and Cambodia 🇰🇭!
We are incredibly grateful to have added our very first dental team serving the children in the villages of Cambodia and new partnerships in SOWETO offering Free family planning and XRAY services. We have so to accomplish and half of the year is gone! With Gods grace we eagerly look forward to the honorable challenge

These inspiring books are uplifting children around the world!
Nurse Nina’s “Daddy, Am I Pretty?” and

have been shared with hundreds of children during our mission trips, reminding them that they are beautiful, strong, valuable, and worthy of confidence.
