Somewhere along the way, women were taught that exhaustion is normal.

That carrying everyone else’s emotions, schedules, responsibilities, stress, and needs somehow became a badge of honor.

But the body keeps score.

This weekend in Utah felt quiet in a way I didn’t expect.

Surrounded by mountains, I went to assist my mentor, Jimmy Bluff, at an advanced muscle reconstruction workshop… and found myself witnessing something much more human than technique.

There was a softness in the room.
Seasoned bodyworkers. New practitioners. People at crossroads.

All of us holding so much for others.

As the weekend unfolded, I watched people shift — from thinking to feeling. From analyzing to trusting their intuition again. The vulnerability that was shared was beautiful.

It was also deeply moving to witness Jimmy’s growth as a teacher — not just in skill, but in presence. There was a depth in the way he held the room that reflected how much this work continues to evolve in all of us.

It reminded me how easy it is in this industry to put ourselves aside. To stay strong. To keep showing up for everyone else.

But our hands carry what we carry.

If we don’t tend to our own healing, it eventually speaks through our touch.

This weekend felt like a gentle reminder that we need each other.
We need vulnerability.
We need community.

Because when healers are allowed to be human too… something opens.

And that opening changes the way we show up for everyone who walks through our door. 🤍
