Peer consultation is built into the schedule, so no one sits with a hard case alone. Mostly, this is a group of women who want to see each other do well.

LCMHC, LCSW or LMFT. Full or part-time. In-person in Dilworth and telehealth. Associate-level welcome — we provide supervision. Training offered in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and more.

💜 We need your vote! 💜

https://www.votecharlottesbest.com

We’re honored to be nominated for Charlotte’s Best in Mental Health Services.

If Charlotte Women’s Counseling has made an impact on your life, or if you simply believe every woman deserves access to compassionate mental health care, we’d be incredibly grateful for your vote.

To us, this is about so much more than an award.

Every vote helps shine a light on a small, locally owned business that exists for one purpose: helping women heal. It increases awareness that there is a place where women can find support through anxiety, trauma, motherhood, infertility, pregnancy loss, perimenopause, relationships, grief, and life’s hardest seasons.

A vote for us is a vote for helping another woman find therapy when she needs it most.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us reach more women in our community. 💜

🗳️ Vote once a day through July 24.
Please share this post with someone who believes mental health matters.

💜👑 Crowns, purple, and cheering on women? Sounds like the perfect match to us. 👑💜

Our Practice Manager ( )and Lead Therapist ( ) from Charlotte Women’s Counseling spent the evening supporting the Charlotte Crown women’s basketball team with their daughters, and we LOVE to see it.

At Charlotte Women’s Counseling, we believe representation, confidence, community, and strong female role models matter both inside and outside the therapy room. There’s something powerful about young girls watching women lead, compete, and shine.

And honestly… a women’s basketball team with a crown and the color purple? We feel right at home. 💜👑🏀

Here’s to supporting women’s sports, empowering the next generation, and showing our daughters what strength, teamwork, and confidence can look like.

✨ Growing our team, growing our impact ✨

We are so grateful to welcome these incredible therapists to the Charlotte Women’s Counseling family this year. Each of them brings not only deep clinical skill, but a genuine heart for supporting women through some of life’s most meaningful (and challenging) seasons.

💜 Top Left – Alyssa Paglio, LCSWA
Alyssa is passionate about supporting women, especially in the postpartum season as they navigate anxiety, identity shifts, and the emotional transitions of motherhood. As both a clinician and a mom, she creates a space that is safe, validating, and free of judgment.

💜 Top Right – Arleta Nelson, LCMHCA
Arleta brings a compassionate and relationship-centered approach to her work, supporting women as they navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and the complexities of relationships with care and intention.

💜 Bottom Left – Shannon Stamey, LMFT
Shannon offers a systemic, relationship-focused lens to her work, helping individuals and couples strengthen connection, improve communication, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and support. Shannon meets you where you are with compassion. She is Gottman trained and EMDR trained and fluent in Italian!

💜 Bottom Right – Jenni Allen, LCMHCA
Jenni walks alongside women and teens through life’s biggest transitions, from adolescence to motherhood. With a trauma-informed and empathetic approach, she helps clients process difficult experiences, including birth trauma and postpartum challenges, while rediscovering their sense of self.

At Charlotte Women’s Counseling, we believe when you help a woman heal, you help everyone around her, and this team embodies that mission so beautifully.

We are honored to have you here.

✨ Movement for Mental Health ✨

As therapists, we spend our days holding space for others.
We sit with grief, trauma, anxiety, big life transitions, and the many layers of being human. It’s meaningful work… but it also means we have to be intentional about caring for ourselves, too.

That’s why we just added a walking pad + standing desk for our team at Charlotte Women’s Counseling. It’s one small effort towards a bigger goal of caring for our team!

Research consistently shows that movement supports mental health, improving mood, reducing stress, increasing focus, and helping regulate our nervous systems.

Even small moments of movement during the day can make a difference.

This little setup will allow our clinicians and staff to:
💜 Move their bodies between sessions
💜 Support nervous system regulation
💜 Reduce burnout and compassion fatigue
💜 Practice the same self-care we encourage our clients to prioritize

We believe caring for the caregivers matters.
When therapists are supported, grounded, and well, they can show up even more fully for the incredible clients we serve.

Because healing isn’t just about what happens in the therapy room!!!!
It is about how we care for ourselves outside of it too 💜💜

Happy Valentine’s Day 💜
Today, we’re honored to be a community partner with Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute for their Women’s Cardiology Conference.

Heart health and mental health are deeply connected; stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, and emotional overload don’t just live in our minds… they live in our bodies too.

Supporting women means supporting the whole woman.
Because when you help a woman heal, you help everyone around her.

Thank you, Atrium Health, for creating space for women’s health in every form. 🫶

Snow days are beautiful… and disruptive. ❄️

While we’re soaking in the quiet beauty of a snow-covered Charlotte, we also know that snow often brings canceled school days, changed routines, and added stress, especially for parents juggling work and childcare.

At Charlotte Women’s Counseling, your mental health and safety come first. We’re happy to move sessions to virtual for anyone who doesn’t feel safe driving or who has kids home again due to school cancellations.

Support doesn’t stop because the weather changes. We’re here to meet you where you are, literally and emotionally. 💜
