Now accepting new clients!
I provide individual counseling for adults navigating childhood trauma, with a specialty in people pleasers, anxious overachievers, and adult children of narcissistic parents.
I also have experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and I enjoy working with parents who are committed to breaking cycles and doing things differently.
If you’re ready to start your healing process, I’d love to connect!

Some thoughts are deep.
Some are profound.
And some are… about squirrels. 🤔🐿️

Teaching kids about their brains helps them understand why feelings feel so big — and what to do with them.
That's why I love and recommend the My Brain series by Orlanda Bettison:
🏠 My Brain is a Home
🌬️ My Breath
🚑 My Brain First Aid
🧠 My Mindful Brain

Simple language. Empowering tools. Science that makes sense to children.

Therapists often use language that feels gentle and supportive, but Pierogi likes to add a sprinkle of sarcasm to the compassion with those same ideas and rephrases them with a little humor and slightly more blunt clarification… so they land in a different (and sometimes deeper) way. 🐾💛

We made it! We’ve zipped to the end of the alphabet—Z!
Know a Z-feeling word? Comment with one and I’ll send you a feelings chart to celebrate the final letter!

School can evoke strong emotions — especially around tests and new situations.

Here are more kid-friendly anxiety reads:
✏️ The Anti-Test Anxiety Society – Julia Cook (illus. Anita Dufalla)
📚 The Big Test – Julie Danneberg (illus. Judy Love)
🎒 First Day Jitters – Julie Danneberg (illus. Judy Love)
📝 Testing Miss Malarkey – Judy Finchler (illus. Kevin O’Malley)

Books can help kids feel seen, heard, and supported.

You guessed it—we’re on the letter Y! We are so close, but this one was also tricky. What can you come up with?
Comment with a Y-feeling word, and I’ll send you a chart of feeling words to keep the exploration going.

Anxiety shows up in kids, too — and stories can give feelings a language.
Some favorites I recommend often:
📕 Don’t Feed the Worry Bug – Andi Green
📙 The Monster Who Couldn’t Decide – Andi Green
📗 Wilma Jean the Worry Machine – Julia Cook
📘 Wilma Jean Activity & Idea Book – Julia Cook

Great conversation starters for worry, choices, and coping.

X is extra tricky—but let’s see what you’ve got!
Comment a feeling word that starts with X (or sounds like it does), and I’ll send you a chart to reward the creativity.
