The Birth of C4

The vision for Christ Centered Community Counseling (also known as C4) came to fruition during a agonizing season. JB (Jarris Bell) & Melinda (his wife), tried to manage the chaos of their lives by pretending everything was fine. They started to receive counseling and joined a local church with an active marriage ministry. Slowly, the Lord began to show them that the future of t

heir family depended on Him and being honest about their brokenness. By clinging to Christ, participating in marriage ministry, and attending counseling, the journey of restoration began. God revealed Himself in ways neither of them anticipated. Now they feel called to lead out of their own struggle. In their darkest hour, God planted a seed in their marriage which later brought forth the birth of C4.

This Is My Brave: "The Show" CharMeck 2024 brings our community together with stories of resilience and hope. This Is My Brave is a national non-profit helping communities bring awareness to mental health, substance use, and the hope of recovery. Individuals with lived experience share their stories of hope through artistic expression such as monologue, poetry, original music, dance, and other creative methods. ReCAST II, Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma, and The Office of Violence Prevention, are both programs within Mecklenburg County Public Health bringing this show to our community, by shining a light on resilience increasing access to mental health treatment, and reducing community violence.
