This week we had the honor and privilege of meeting Dr. Robert Needlman, co-founder of Reach Out and Read, and Dr. Lynette Fraga, CEO of Reach Out and Read, during their visit to Medical Plaza Pediatrics.

Reach Out and Read partners with pediatric healthcare providers to promote early literacy by giving children age-appropriate books during well-child visits and encouraging families to read together from infancy through age five.

A few remarkable facts about Reach Out and Read:

📖 Children participating in Reach Out and Read are more likely to be read to regularly and enter school with stronger language and literacy skills.

This week at MPP, we celebrated Healthcare Week and the incredible people who make a difference every single day. We are so thankful for all healthcare workers and the compassion, dedication, and hard work they bring to their communities. 💙

Monday: celebrated our clerical team with a nacho bar, piña colada’s in the Ninja Slushie machine, and Hawaiian wear!
Tuesday: crossword puzzles, donuts, and coffee
Wednesday: duck hunt and cookies
Thursday: celebrated our clinical team with an ice cream Sunday bar
Friday: Publix subs and Novant wear.

While our daily focus is caring for little ones, we also stand strong for the moms, grandmothers, aunts, and caregivers who mean the world to them.
