Sometimes staying busy, productive, or “fine” can keep us from noticing what we actually feel.

It can take a while to realize that functioning isn’t the same thing as feeling connected to yourself.

And sometimes, noticing that is where the real work begins.

Sometimes your body knows you’re stressed before your brain catches up. 🧠💭

Stress doesn’t always look like feeling worried or overwhelmed. It can show up as:
• Tight shoulders or jaw
• Headaches
• Stomach issues
• Racing heart
• Trouble sleeping
• Feeling restless or constantly “on”
• Changes in appetite or energy

Your body and mind are constantly communicating. When stress sticks around long enough, your body may start sending signals that something needs attention—even when you’re telling yourself, “I’m fine.”

Learning to notice those signals can be an important part of taking care of your mental health.

💬 Which one do you notice first when you’re stressed?

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "I made a mistake" versus "I am the mistake"?

That difference is the difference between guilt and shame—and it matters more than you might think.

In this reel, licensed therapist Zion Selent breaks down how guilt can lead us toward repair, while shame often keeps us stuck in self-criticism and disconnection.

If this resonates with you, know that support is available. 💙

Do you ever feel trapped in a cycle of intrusive thoughts, "what ifs," or the need to feel certain?

OCD is more than repetitive behaviors. It’s a brain that mistakes uncertainty for danger. Understanding what's happening in your brain is the first step toward breaking the cycle.

If this sounds familiar, visit our website to learn more about OCD and meet the clinicians on our team who specialize in evidence-based treatment, including ERP.

You were never meant to be everything for everyone.

So many of us carry the weight of trying to meet every expectation, avoid disappointing others, and keep everyone happy. But constantly stretching yourself to fit what others need often means losing touch with what you need.

Healthy relationships don't require you to abandon yourself. Boundaries aren't selfish—they're how we protect our well-being and make space for authentic connection.

✨ You don't have to earn your worth by being everything to everyone.

What does letting go of people-pleasing look like for you?

Just because something is common doesn't mean it's serving us.

Many of us carry patterns that feel "normal" simply because we've lived with them for so long. Taking a second look isn't about judging yourself—it's about getting curious.

Sometimes, the smallest moments of self-awareness can lead to the biggest changes.

Your emotions are real—but they aren't permanent. 🧠

Research suggests that the physiological wave of an emotion often begins to subside within about 90 seconds. What keeps us stuck is often the story our mind continues to tell afterward.

The next time a difficult emotion shows up, try noticing it instead of immediately reacting to it. You might be surprised by what happens when you let the wave pass.

💭 What's one emotion you've been learning to sit with instead of fight?
