Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom .... more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed! Tomorrow is the first day of LEEAP Beyond Camp, and we are kicking off summer with Superheroes Week! 🦸🏽‍♀️🦸🏻‍♂️✨

After an awesome open house, our LEEAP Beyond Camp team is excited and ready to greet our campers, welcome families, and begin a summer full of fun, exploration, learning, connection, and confidence-building.

LEEAP Beyond Camp is truly a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience where every child is seen, supported, included, and encouraged to shine.

We can’t wait to see our campers tomorrow and start this superhero summer together! 💙

As Mental Health Awareness Week comes to a close, we are celebrating the wonderful moments shared throughout the week at The LEEAP Center.

A special thank you to our clinical psychologist, and to our Psychological Services Coordinator, Wendy, for coordinating meaningful and fun activities centered around mental wellness. From Munching Monday and Walking Wednesday to tie-dye activities, positive self-affirmations, and yoga, our team and kids had a wonderful time participating.

This week served as a powerful reminder that caring for mental health is just as important as caring for physical health.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the week so special. This is another beautiful example of our Beyond Therapy motto in action at the LEEAP Center!
