Research has found that low-to-moderate intensity strength training just 2x per week during pregnancy may help maintain energy and reduce fatigue as pregnancy progresses.
One study followed pregnant women from about 22–34 weeks and found that those who strength trained twice weekly maintained better energy levels, while fatigue increased more in the non-exercise groups.
The takeaway: you don’t need intense workouts. Consistent, pregnancy-appropriate strength training a couple of times a week may be enough to help you feel stronger and more energized.
That’s exactly what Mama Strong classes are designed for; safe, supportive strength training to help you feel strong and capable throughout pregnancy and later into postpartum. 🤍
