You learned how to hold everything together before anyone ever taught you that you didn't have to.
You became the fixer. The planner. The one who never drops the ball because somewhere deep down, you believed that if you stopped holding it all, everything and everyone would fall apart. Including you.
So you said "I'll just do it myself" because asking for help felt like failure. You said "it's fine" when it wasn't because your anger never had permission to exist. You said "sorry, I know I'm being a lot" because the world taught you that your needs were an inconvenience.
And you kept going. Kept carrying. Kept shrinking yourself so everyone around you could stay comfortable.
But here's what nobody told you: that exhaustion you feel isn't burnout from doing too much. It's grief. It's the weight of abandoning yourself over and over again and calling it love.
You are not "too much." You are a woman who was never given permission to be held the way you hold everyone else.
That pattern didn't start with you. But it can end with you.
If any of this made your chest tight, take the free Over-Responsibility Inventory and find out where this pattern is running your life.
