how my past client is now down 40 lbs & the habits that got her there 🙌

this is proof that the basics actually work.

yes, she was super dialed in on her nutrition, more than most people are. but it just goes to show that the basics move the needle more than people realize.

it also shows that coaching is an investment in your long term transformation. we only worked together for 9 weeks, and months and months later she’s still benefiting from it.

she thanks me all the time, but i can’t take the credit. she put in the work. she stayed consistent. she made herself a priority. yes, i guided her and looked at her season of life and what would work best for her, but at the end of the day she’s the one who did the work. she did this & I couldn’t be more proud 🥰

if you’re ready for some extra support, send me a message. i’d love to chat and see if 1:1 coaching is right for you

sometimes ignoring life responsibilities and sitting outside with nature is just what your mama soul needs, & that’s okay. 😅

my take on holistic vs. conventional care 🌿

i don’t think you have to pick a side. conventional medicine is amazing for acute and emergency care. holistic care looks at root causes and prevention. you deserve access to both.

stick around for the 5 questions i ask before any health decision 🧠

where do you land? holistic, conventional, or both? 👇

episode 7 of my what i’m cooking in the kitchen series: homemade empanada edition 🥟

made completely from scratch, with a little cholula on top. it does require a few steps, but they’re worth it every time.

and the fact that my 3 year old loves them too makes it even better. he even decided to try them with the hot sauce this time & he said “maybe I’ll have that when I’m older.” 😂

have you made empanadas from scratch before?

part 6 of my hormone series 💛

hunger is often treated like a discipline or willpower issue but that’s not always the case.
your appetite is feedback, not a moral failing.

seeing my leptin come back low gave me another piece of my own puzzle. it didn’t diagnose the cause of my hunger, but it helped me understand that there was more happening beneath the surface.

this is why I believe we need to look at the full picture, including sleep, stress, eating patterns, recent weight changes, blood sugar, and metabolic health, instead of immediately assuming someone simply needs to eat less.

your body isn’t working against you. it’s communicating with you. the goal is learning how to listen and respond.

had you heard of ghrelin and leptin before this?

follow along because part 7 is all about testosterone. yes, women have it too, and it affects more than you may realize.

hormone series: part 5: thyroid

here’s the list to save if you ever want to ask about more comprehensive thyroid testing 👇

• TSH
• free T4
• free T3
• reverse T3
• TPO antibodies
• thyroglobulin antibodies

TSH is an important marker, but it’s only one piece of the picture. That doesn’t mean everyone needs every test, but your symptoms, health history, and other lab results can help determine whether looking deeper makes sense.

and remember, symptoms like fatigue, hair thinning, feeling cold, or changes in weight don’t automatically mean you have a thyroid problem. They can have several possible causes, which is exactly why looking at the whole person matters.

save this so you have the full list 🤎

next week in the hormone series, we’re getting into two hormones that can affect your hunger, appetite, and weight regulation.
