Such a beautiful night together. 💛

We began with a bespoke energetic cleansing for each person, then shared cacao before settling into the water.

Floating beneath the moon while the sound bowls, drums and chimes moved across the pool was something special. You could feel the vibration through the water, almost like the body was dancing with the sound.

Afterward, we came back to the earth with a grounding gathering and gifted the medicine of moon water, flowers and herbs that had been there with us, absorbing the alchemy of the sound.

✨Water. Sound. Moonlight. Ceremony. Community.✨

Thank you to everyone who came and shared this space with us.

I have learned to pay attention to how I arrive.

Am I rushing through? Am I asking for something? Am I quiet enough to notice where I am?

There is an exchange happening long before we name it sacred.

When I walk onto the land, I listen. Sometimes I feel welcomed. Sometimes I feel the need to wait. Sometimes there is a place that seems to ask for nothing more than my presence.

The longer I live this way, the more I understand relationship as part of the medicine.

We speak so often about what the Earth gives us. Her grounding. Her beauty. Her plants, waters, food and healing.

I wonder what changes when we begin asking what we bring to the relationship.

How do you enter?

How do you listen?

How do you say thank you?

Perhaps reverence begins there 🌿

There is a lot of movement in the sky right now, and I keep coming back to one question:

What wants your participation?

🌙 The First Quarter Moon carries momentum. Sagittarius wants to expand the edges. And we are moving through the final days of Leo season with all of that beautiful heart, courage, creativity and fire still available to us.

〰️ Underneath it, there is also a deeply intuitive current moving through the sky.

So pay attention to what has energy around it.

The idea that keeps returning. The invitation that excites you and scares you a little. The place your imagination keeps wandering.

The part of your life that suddenly feels ready for more space.

You don’t need the whole path to reveal itself before you move.

Sometimes you just need enough light for the next few steps.

We’ll be gathering Sunday evening for our Floating Sound Bath, working with water, sound, cacao and ceremony inside these energies.

Come float with us, or choose a grounded mat if your body would rather be held by the Earth.

There is something about being held by water while sound moves through the body 〰️

On Sunday, August 23, we’ll gather at dusk for a floating sound bath and evening of ceremony, rest, and connection.

✨We’ll be playing Demetra ~ ✨Sound Healer and Vocal Alchemist✨ bowls as the sounds move across the water and through the body. You’ll be supported on your own floating mattress with a blanket and silk eye pillow infused with rose quartz. Tea and cacao will be waiting for you, too😌

There are 8 spaces available on floating mats and 8 spaces available on grounded mats, so you can choose the way you’d most like to receive the experience.

Afterward, you’re welcome to stay, swim under the evening sky, and linger together a little longer.

♾️There are losses we would never choose to put down because putting down the grief would somehow feel like putting down the love, too.

There is a line in Mary Oliver’s poem Heavy that I return to:

“It’s not the weight you carry
but how you carry it”

I have watched grief change shape over time.

There are days when it takes up the whole room. Days when it sits quietly beside you. And then there are those surprising moments when laughter comes through again, beauty catches your attention, or you find yourself completely taken by the roses moving in the wind.

The grief is still there.

So is the love.

Maybe this is part of what we slowly learn. How to carry what is precious and painful. How to let its weight shift in our hands. How to recognize when we need someone beside us to help hold it.

And somewhere along the way, life begins reaching for us again.

A bird overhead.
The sound of someone we love laughing.
The moon coming up.
A hand reaching for ours.

We begin to notice.

We begin to “admire, admire, admire” the things of this world again.

And somehow, the heart finds room for all of it.
