Peer support changes lives! If you’ve considered taking the 72 hour training, you’re in luck! Our amazing trainer Cyndi Richardson is teaching a new class in October! Send an email to [email protected].

If you complete this required class and accumulate 500 hours working with supervision, you can take the test to become a CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) in the State of Virginia.

You must have lived experience in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use challenge or be a parent/close family member of a person with a mental health and/or substance use challenge.

The course involves 60 classroom hours and 12 additional hours outside the classroom.

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.”

Sometimes there are people in the world who genuinely strive to make their lives about being generous, doing good and helping others. When these people leave this earth, we can’t help but feel a personal loss. We lost one of those people yesterday.

This weekend, Dolly will be on our breads and flourless chocolate cakes and the proceeds from those items will be donated to Dolly’s Imagination Library Imagination Library which has been providing free books to kids since 1995.
