💚 August is National Wellness Month—a perfect reminder that healthy aging is about much more than doctor's appointments and exercise.

For older adults, wellness also means:
✔️ Staying active
✔️ Maintaining meaningful relationships
✔️ Keeping the mind engaged
✔️ Eating nutritious meals
✔️ Living safely and independently

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give an aging loved one isn't another prescription—it's more connection, purpose, and support.

At Senior Care Authority, we're here to help families navigate care decisions that promote independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

Here's to a healthier, happier August for everyone you love.

This website is super new, and we’re still figuring out the kinks, but I’m already so grateful to have been asked to contribute! 🎉 It’s such an exciting space to be part of, and I’m learning a ton along the way. Honestly, it feels like the beginning of something really special, and I’m excited to grow with it. 😊 Still a bit messy, but that’s part of the charm while we support Debbie Compton and her dream. Can’t wait to keep sharing and improving! 🚀✨

Caring for an aging loved one can be rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming. One valuable resource many families don't know about is adult day care.

In a recent Boomers Today podcast, Senior Care Authority Founder & CEO Frank Samson sits down with Bill Zagorski, CEO of Centennial Adult Care Centers, to discuss how adult day services provide social engagement, therapeutic activities, health support, and much-needed respite for family caregivers.

𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀:
✅ Stay socially connected
✅ Enjoy meaningful activities and a sense of purpose
✅ Receive personalized care in a safe environment
✅ Remain at home longer while giving caregivers time to recharge
If you're exploring care options for a loved one, this conversation offers valuable insights into one of senior care's best-kept secrets.

💦 Staying hydrated is important at every age, but it can be especially important for older adults. As we age, our sense of thirst may decrease, and certain medications or health conditions can make dehydration more likely.

💧 Simple ways to support healthy hydration include keeping water nearby throughout the day, drinking small amounts often, adding fruit or herbs for flavor, eating water-rich foods like watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, and soup, and limiting too many sugary or caffeinated drinks.

💡 Caregivers can also help by offering gentle reminders and watching for signs of dehydration, such as dizziness, confusion, dry mouth, fatigue, or dark-colored urine.

Small hydration habits can make a big difference in comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
