Meet John – A Hidden Resource at McManus Counseling

At McManus Counseling, we’re often known for our work with kids and families—but that’s only part of what we do.

I want to introduce you to one of our adult serving team members who has become an incredibly valuable (and often underutilized) part of our team… John.

John works exclusively with adults (18+), which makes him a great fit for people who may not have realized we offer adult services at all.

He brings a calm, grounded, and thoughtful approach to his work—and has a way of helping people feel comfortable without it feeling overly clinical or intimidating.

Right now, he has availability, which is something that’s honestly hard to come by.

✔ Accepts most major insurance plans
✔ Accepts MassHealth and Medicare
✔ In-person sessions right here in Charlton, as well as telehealth

We have openings for parents/caregivers and siblings to attend the Sibling Support Program: A Family-Centered Mental Health Initiative on Thursday, December 4,! This free program focuses on building sibling resiliency, decreasing trauma and strengthening families of youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Health Issues.

Because of the federal shutdown, SNAP benefits will likely be delayed, leaving many young adults who aged out of foster care with no way to buy food.

Rise Above is responding with The Table, an emergency food support pilot. We’ll provide 50 young adults with $75 grocery gift cards so they don’t go hungry while systems catch up.
