There is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to caring for someone you love.

Whether you're considering a private caregiver or a professional caregiving agency, the most important thing is finding the support that meets your loved one's needs and gives your family peace of mind.

Taking the time to explore your options is often the first step toward feeling more confident about the road ahead.

Dolly Parton spent a lifetime sharing her talents, generosity, and joy with the world. She also knew the deeply personal responsibility of caring for someone she loved.

Her experience offers an important reminder: family caregivers need care, too. Support, rest, and attention to their own well-being can help caregivers continue being present for the people who depend on them.

As we honor Dolly’s legacy, we also recognize family caregivers everywhere. The love you give matters, and so does your well-being. ✨

Alice's connection to the railroad runs deep. Following in the footsteps of her father and brother, she built her own career in an industry that wasn't always welcoming to women, eventually working as a Claims Agent for the Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, and Canadian Pacific railroads.

Knowing how much those memories meant to her, Right at Home Twin Cities and South Suburbs caregiver Jennie arranged a special outing to Train Days at Union Depot in St. Paul. As they toured the historic trains, Alice came to life, sharing stories from her years on the railroad and reminiscing about experiences that helped shape her life. What began as a day trip became an opportunity to celebrate her accomplishments, honor her history, and relive memories that continue to hold a special place in her heart.

Jennie is a wonderful reflection of the Right at Home mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Moments like these remind us that caregiving is about more than assistance. It's about understanding what matters most to each person and creating opportunities for them to reconnect with the people, places, and experiences that have defined their lives.

Please join us in congratulating our August Residence Week graduates! 🎉

This group includes a new Right at Home owner, an existing owner, new members of our corporate team, and team members from established Right at Home offices. Throughout the week, they came together to learn, collaborate, build connections, and deepen their understanding of the Right at Home system.

One of the most meaningful Residence Week traditions is graduation, where classmates recognize one another and share heartfelt reflections on how their peers shaped their experience. It's always inspiring to see individuals from different backgrounds, roles, and experiences come together to support and learn from one another.

Congratulations to this exceptional class on reaching this milestone. We can't wait to see the impact they'll make as they continue their Right at Home journey. 🩵🧡

Robert Solomon discovered an unexpected sense of fulfillment when he took a grocery store job during the pandemic after his hours were reduced at a nonprofit. What began as temporary work became a passion, and at age 71 he now works as an assistant produce buyer at an independent market in New York. Solomon loves the physical, hands-on nature of the job, finding satisfaction in tasks like stocking shelves and caring for fresh produce.

After spending much of his life pursuing careers he believed would be “better” or more prestigious, he realized that meaningful work does not have to come with status or recognition. The job keeps him mentally focused, physically active, and connected to lessons he unknowingly learned from his mother about food and caregiving. Though he once worried his parents might disapprove of his career path, he has come to see his work as a source of strength, purpose, and appreciation for everyday things, calling it the best employment he has ever had.
