Some from our community gathered at the old maple tree by the Farmhouse for a beautiful and heartfelt farewell. Together, they shared poems, readings, songs, stories, history, and memories beneath its branches. Many were deeply moved as they embraced this magnificent tree, well over 100 years old, one last time before it must be removed. Sadly, the severe storm a few weeks ago caused significant damage, making it unsafe to preserve. For generations, this remarkable maple has stood as a quiet witness to countless moments on the farm, in our community, of growth and of connection. While we are saddened to say goodbye, we are grateful for the memories it leaves behind and the opportunity to honor its enduring presence together.

Some of our residents and staff had a wonderful time attending You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! A heartfelt thank you to the Columbia County Youth Theatre for welcoming us and putting on such a fun and entertaining performance. We truly appreciate your hospitality and the joy you brought to our community. We can't wait to come back for another show!

A Black-eyed Susan in full bloom, visited by a Baltimore Checkerspotted butterfly, is a gentle reminder of the peace, beauty, and serenity that surround us every day at Camphill Ghent. It's moments like these that invite us to slow down, take a deep breath, and appreciate the quiet wonders of nature.

All season long, we’ve been enjoying the comfortable and beautiful furniture that was made possible through New York State’s Enhancing the Quality of Adult Living (EQUAL) Program. We’re so grateful to our friends at , who worked so closely with us to meet our needs and specifications. Now, the furniture in our Adult Home really conveys just how cheerful our community members really are!

Camphill Ghent and Camphill Village Copake seek a strategic, relationship-driven Major Gifts Officer to lead major and planned giving efforts across both of our communities. This role is responsible for securing significant philanthropic support from individuals and families through a disciplined, portfolio-based approach.

Despite being a part-time position, our Major Gifts Officer will receive excellent medical insurance and generous paid time off, along with an $85,000 salary. This position is mostly remote, with twice monthly on-site presence expected.

Here at Camphill Ghent, with the weather finally becoming nicer, there has been so much going on. From work clean-up parties and residents enjoying the beautiful weather outside, to the crimson clover field in full bloom, checking on the swarms to see how they are acclimating, admiring the vibrant poppies, and a block painting session that everyone truly enjoyed — it has been a wonderful season filled with community, creativity, and growth. 🌸🐝🎨☀️

We filled our culture hall at the of March in celebration of Connie Mondel and Steve Gitto, who both turn 100 this month!! 🎉 We heard wonderful stories from friends and family, poetry and blessings from our own community members, and a lovely performance by Paul and Anna. These milestone birthdays are a true testament to the spiritual and physical wellness and care we practice in Camphill Ghent. We were delighted to share this special day with our friends Connie and Steve, who have brought so much to our community of elders.
