Once again, the Daughters of the American Revolution have shown tremendous support for the Family Way program. Their generosity has provided many of our parents and children with cleaning and hygiene supplies that will help meet their needs throughout the year.

Because of their kindness, these families are able to live more comfortably while pursuing recovery, stability, and independence. Our gratitude for the members of DAR cannot truly be measured.

Thank you for continuing to support the families we serve!

Clients decorated the IOP hallway to show their "Spring into Recovery" motivation. As seasons change, we are reminded that people change every day at CADAS. The client's message is to stay motivated in your new life of recovery. You are worthy of so much more!! Stay motivated in all that you have accomplished and all the wonderful things to come. To Erica Cotton's clients, we thank you for an inspiring message.

We’re proud to share that Maurice Draine, CPRS, was honored as Professional of the Year at the Smoky Mountain Conference for Addiction Professionals in Knoxville!

Hosted by ETAADAC, this annual conference recognizes leaders who are making a real difference. Maurice is exactly that.

Over the years, Maurice has helped thousands of Tennesseans find recovery and hope. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, CPRS Supervisor, and powerful speaker, he brings authenticity, compassion, real-life experience, and a deep laugh to everyone he serves.

His message is one we all need right now: recovery from addiction must include conversations about mental health. Maurice reminds us that there are some Things I Must Earn (T.I.M.E.) and "there's nothing wrong with us."

He says, "I recover out loud so others won't die in silence."

We are incredibly grateful to have Maurice as part of the CADAS team, serving as a Tennessee Recovery Navigator through the Tennessee Department of Health’s STEPS Project. His impact reaches far beyond our organization and into the lives of so many in our community.

Join us in congratulating Maurice!! 👏

The Scholze Adolescent/CADAS Youth Services received a Google award as the best treatment center for 2025. The Scholze Adolescent Center works with our most vulnerable population to help adolescents make better decisions and steer them towards success. Our amazing staff equips them with the tools to change their lives for the better while helping them live a life free from substance use disorder. It takes a special individual to work with these adolescents and show them that they are worthy of so much more. Thank you to Melanie, Scholze Director, and Michelle, Assistant Director, for the amazing team and all they do. Year to date, the Scholze team served 155 adolescents from 17 counties. After treatment, 14 high school diplomas were achieved, and 5 went on to college, while others obtained workplace program certificates or enrolled in varying college courses.

"CADAS Topping Party" held to commemorate the last structural beam to be put in place as the 36-bed women's residential building continues to come closer to completion. This last beam before final installation was available for construction workers, welders, and CADAS employees to write words of encouragement and share inspirations of Hope. Both CADAS projects this year will have a profound impact on changing people's lives in early recovery.

The temperature is changing. Trees are budding out, and buildings are getting built. The progress being made on the new CADAS 36-bed women's residential facility will provide Hope while supporting early recovery. To everyone who is making this dream a reality, we thank you. To the Rob Roberts construction team and all the subcontractors, thank you for the lives this building will change!! This is not just progress on any building. This special building will change lives for the better. The CADAS 36-bed women's residential unit will provide a life worth living. It will give them hope, but more importantly, the understanding that they are worthy of so much more.

CADAS was so proud to support and attend the Willowbend Farms Are You Awake conference. A deeper awareness was the headliner. We all need to do our part to stop Human trafficking while also understanding the lives it destroys. Several agencies participated in providing HOPE and services to rebuild lives. Thank you to CADAS Navigators Kat Wood and Karie Streun for attending this much-needed two-day conference.
