Because of some health issues, we spent several months living at StoryPoint, a senior living facility on the Iowa side of the river.

95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

Creature Features joined us with an incredible array of animals, giving our residents a chance to get up close and personal. From gentle pets to fascinating facts, everyone had a fantastic time interacting with our special guests. So many precious moments! 🦜🐰🦎

What a wonderful morning of community connection! Our residents delivered breakfast to the firefighters at our local station today. They were incredibly welcoming, offering us a fantastic tour, the chance to try on their gear, and patiently answering every question. We're so grateful for their dedication and service to our community!
