This is exactly where I’m supposed to be. 🤍
I genuinely love what I do.
There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a patient go from “I don't know how much longer I can do this” to sleeping better, functioning better, feeling confident again, and recognizing themselves again.
Those moments are why I chose psychiatry—and why building Align Psychiatry has been so meaningful to me.
Thank you to every patient who has trusted me with their story. It is a privilege I don't take lightly.
Helping people feel like themselves again is one of the best parts of my job.

Could optimizing your supplements support your mental health?
Medications aren't the only piece of the puzzle.
While supplements aren't a cure for anxiety, depression, or ADHD, some people may benefit from identifying and correcting nutritional deficiencies or using evidence-supported supplements as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Depending on your individual needs, this may include evaluating things like:
✔ Vitamin D
✔ Vitamin B12
✔ Folate
✔ Iron (when appropriate)
✔ Magnesium
✔ Omega-3 fatty acids
Not every supplement is right for every person, and "natural" doesn't always mean safe. Some supplements can interact with prescription medications or may not be appropriate for certain medical conditions.
At Align Psychiatry, we take a personalized approach to treatment—considering medications, therapy, sleep, nutrition, exercise, and, when appropriate, evidence-informed supplements to help support your overall mental wellness.
Because better mental health isn't about one magic pill—it's about finding the right combination for you.

Should a Psychiatric Specialist Manage Your Mental Health Medications?
Not always.
Primary care providers do an incredible job treating many common mental health concerns, and for many people, they're the perfect place to start.
However, there are times when partnering with a psychiatric provider may help you get the most out of your treatment.
You may benefit from a psychiatric medication evaluation if:
✔ You've tried more than one medication without enough improvement.
✔ You're experiencing bothersome side effects.
✔ You have ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, or another complex mental health condition.
✔ You're taking multiple psychiatric medications and want a comprehensive medication review.
✔ You'd like more time to discuss your symptoms, treatment options, and long-term goals.
Mental health treatment isn't about choosing between your primary care provider or a psychiatric provider.
It's about finding the right level of care for your individual needs.
At Align Psychiatry, we work collaboratively with primary care providers and therapists to help patients receive thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care.

Mental health is rarely one-size-fits-all. Sometimes understanding how symptoms present can change the treatment approach.

Not all depression looks quiet.
When people think of depression, they often imagine someone who is sleeping all day, crying, and lacking energy.
But sometimes depression feels very different.

Many people describe it as feeling like they're depressed with the gas pedal stuck down.
In some cases, this pattern is called depression with mixed features. It's important because treatment may differ from more typical depression. Some people don't improve—or even feel worse—on antidepressants alone.
If you've been treated for depression but still feel activated, restless, or unusually irritable, it may be worth taking a closer look at what's really going on.
💙 You deserve treatment that's tailored to you.

**A diagnosis can be helpful...but it's not the whole person.**

In psychiatry, diagnoses help guide treatment, communicate with other providers, and work with insurance. But what matters most to me is understanding *your* experience.

Maybe it's the anxiety keeping you awake at night.
Maybe it's the lack of motivation that's making it hard to get through the day.
Maybe it's the racing thoughts, burnout, irritability, or difficulty focusing.

People don't come to treatment because of a diagnosis—they come because they're struggling.

My goal is to treat the symptoms that are impacting your life, while getting to know the person behind them.

Because you're so much more than a label.

A reminder that feeling better doesn't always happen because of one thing.

Sometimes it's the combination of self-awareness, support, healthy habits, therapy, medication when needed, and a willingness to keep doing the work.

Small changes can create meaningful results over time.

Trust the process. ❤️
