Deep in the nausea trenches this trimester? 🫠

Here’s what I want you to hear: this isn’t just something you have to “push through.” Morning sickness is often your body flagging something real and once you know what, you can actually work with it instead of against it.

The usual suspects behind first-trimester nausea:
• blood sugar swings
• digestion running slower than usual
• a nervous system in overwhelm
• hormones recalibrating in real time

This is exactly where gentle homeopathic remedies can make a genuine difference.

✨ Remedies like Nux vomica, Ipecacuanha, and Tabacum are often reached for to:
• settle relentless nausea
• soften the gag reflex and food aversions
• support digestion without just masking symptoms
• work in partnership with your body, not override it

The real key is knowing which remedy fits which moment — paired with nourishment that actually meets you where you are.

Inside the Wild + Well First Trimester Bundle, I walk you through:
✔️ getting to the root of nausea, not just white-knuckling it
✔️ blood sugar–friendly meal strategies for when nothing sounds edible
✔️ safe, practical homeopathy you can actually use
✔️ knowing when a remedy is right — and when it’s not

There’s one pot that’s been on my stove every single week for years….

Bones, filtered water, a splash of apple cider vinegar, and whatever aromatics I have on hand, simmered low and slow for about 10 hours, then strained into jars for the week ahead.

It makes soup in ten minutes for the kids, broth to enhance the nutrient density of rice, sipping broth and broth for roasts and stews!

The real magic is the protein, collagen, and glycine, an amino acid that supports a calm nervous system and better sleep. It’s gentle on digestion too, and offers some minerals along the way.

I’d your thyroid labs look “normal” but you still feel exhausted, foggy, cold, or wired-but-tired postpartum, mineral depletion could be the missing piece.

Pregnancy and birth pull heavily on your mineral stores (especially selenium, zinc, iodine, and copper), and without replenishment, your thyroid can’t function the way it should, even if your bloodwork doesn’t flag it yet.

That’s why I created 5 mineral-rich mocktails designed to support postpartum thyroid healing — real ingredients, real minerals, zero alcohol, and actually delicious.

Want to know what’s really going on with your minerals postpartum? My HTMA Motherhood Bundle gives you the root-cause testing + personalized support to find out.

Maternal blood volume increases by roughly 40-50% over the course of pregnancy — and that expansion begins in the first trimester, well before it’s visible on the outside.

At the same time, iron, B6, choline, and glycine requirements all rise. Nausea, aversions, and hyperemesis often make consistent intake harder right when demand is climbing. This isn’t about eating “perfectly.” It’s about knowing where to put your limited appetite when you do have it.

The 10 foods in this carousel aren’t random — they’re grouped by function:
→ Protein sources (protein powder, cottage cheese, Jacob Bars, eggs) to support placental development and the plasma volume expansion already underway
→ Mineral-dense foods (blackstrap molasses, macadamia nuts, collagen) to help offset iron, magnesium, and glycine demands
→ Fat-soluble vitamin and gut-support foods (grass-fed butter, bone broth, yogurt) for fat-soluble vitamin status and gut lining integrity

If you’re navigating nausea and don’t know where to start, this is the short list I give clients.

We’re fortunate that our little ones have had little to no antibiotic usage.

But there are times when holistic and alternative remedies don’t cut it and you need more support! This week our oldest son needed two rounds of IV antibiotics for an infection (could be related to an infection from a tick — we’ll know more this week).

I don’t love antibiotics but we didn’t hesitate because he needed the additional support and I know I can always get his gut back to where it was before the antibiotic usage!

So here’s what I’ll be using to support his gut and get things back on track!

You find out you’re pregnant… and then you’re told to wait 6–8 weeks before your first appointment.

And in that gap? You’re either left guessing… or told to “just take a prenatal and you’re fine.”

Here are things to focus on in that waiting period:
✨Nutrient demands
✨Blood sugar shifts
✨Mineral needs

Which means how you support your body right now matters more than most women realize. This is where I see so many women struggle unnecessarily— not because their body is failing them, but because no one showed them how to support it early on.

Things like:
• Stabilizing blood sugar so energy + nausea don’t crash
• Replenishing minerals that are quickly being used up
• Eating in a way that actually supports hormones + digestion
• Understanding what your symptoms are telling you (instead of fearing them)

This is exactly why I created The Wild & Well Pregnancy Journey—
so you don’t have to spend your first trimester guessing or googling. It walks you through what your body actually needs in early pregnancy and how to support it in a way that’s realistic, nourishing, and sustainable.

If you’re newly pregnant (or preparing to be), this is for you!

Breastfeeding isn’t just “burning calories”—it’s a daily transfer of nutrients from your body to your baby.

And if you’re not replenishing? Your body will keep giving… at your expense.

This is why so many moms feel:
• exhausted even when they’re “eating healthy”
• anxious, wired, or crashing by mid-day
• stuck with low or fluctuating milk supply

On HTMA, I consistently see patterns of:
low sodium, potassium, magnesium, and bioavailable copper postpartum.

And no—another salad isn’t going to fix that. You need:
adequate protein, enough carbs, and consistent mineral support throughout the day.

This is what “eating enough” actually looks like.

Comment MINERALS and I’ll send you how I support this inside my HTMA motherhood bundle 🤍

Because I know every mom feels a *little* bit dysregulated from time to time 😆

Here’s what supporting my body (and in turn, my kids) actually looked like on a day I felt dysregulated from the start:

🍳 Nourished breakfast — egg cups with veggies + ground beef, roasted potatoes on the side
💧 Minerals, not just water — Quinton trace minerals in the morning, electrolytes in the afternoon
🌿 Leaned on homeopathy (extra sepia for me today)
🍵 A mid-day tea time reset with the whole fam
🥔 Snuck in outside time — garden breaks between the screen time we needed
📞 Let myself receive — check-in calls, texts, and a surprise treat from people who love us
