What a day on the green! ⛳ Thank you to every team who teed off with us yesterday at Orange Grove Center’s 18th Annual Golf Tournament.

Every foursome in these photos chose to show up for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Your time, your swings, and your generosity help the people we serve connect to a home of their own, a job where they can thrive, and a community that celebrates their gifts.

Eighteen years in, it’s still one of our favorite days on the green. Thank you for making it one to remember.

Our 18th Annual Golf Tournament is happening TOMORROW! Thank you to everyone planning to be there tomorrow, and thank you to the sponsors and volunteers that have made this event possible year after year.

Today was all smiles at Orange Grove Center! 💛

We celebrated World Smile Day in the cafeteria in honor of Jordan LaGraff, a young man supported throughout his life by Orange Grove Center whose smile spoke volumes. Our staff and people we support did exactly what Smile Day asks of us: sharing kindness and helping one another smile. It was a joyful way to honor someone whose legacy still brightens our halls.

World Smile Day is celebrated around the globe on the first Friday in October, and was started in 1999 by Harvey Ball, the artist who designed the yellow smiley face we all know and love in 1963. Since Orange Grove was founded in 1953, that makes us a decade older than the smiley face!

Thank you, Jordan & the LaGraff family, for the smiles you gave us, and for the ones you are still inspiring.

This week for September to Remember, we had a special feathered friend visit our Nature Garden! The kind folks at Happinest Raptor Rescue joined us yesterday to release a hawk back into nature, and it was a treat to see such a beautiful bird up close!

Thank you to HappiNest Raptor Rescue and Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, TN for making this happen!

What a way to close out DSP Recognition Week. 🤠

Our Direct Support Professionals showed up for Country vs. Country Club Day in full force, cowboy hats and country club best alike, and it was the perfect send-off for a week spent celebrating them. Our staff and DSPs are the reason we can recognize, support, and celebrate the qualities of every individual with intellectual / developmental disabilities who we serve.

So whether you went full country or leaned country club, thank you to everyone who participated! This DSP Recognition Week was for you, and you made it one to remember.
